We will share many stories from across the globe: stories of hope and resilience, stories of unconditional love, stories of childhood dreams, stories of the magic that happens when we cross the boundaries of our personal comfort, and join hands together towards building a better world.
I returned a few days ago from Uganda. The original purpose of my trip was to attend the annual anniversary event of King Oyo of Tooro kingdom, and use that occasion to establish longterm partnerships to organize HIV awareness workshops for youth groups. King Oyo was a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment and HIV awareness. However, things took an unexpected turn when a few days before the start of my journey, King Oyo suddenly passed away at the young age of 34 years. I decided to still travel to Uganda, to attend the funeral events and pay my final respects, and then spend time with our main partners, including the many youth who are supported by us. I have now returned to Davis, inspired by our accomplishments, and determined to step up our efforts even more.
We truly hope you can join us at our anniversary event, an evening filled with inspiration and hope, with fun interactive activities, some snacks/drinks, and an opportunity to reconnet with old friends, and make new friends. Please invite your friends and loved ones.
Admission is FREE but reserving a ticket is highly recommended as seating capacity of the venue is limited.
