Campus Rotaract Club of Davis

We have officially wrapped up the Rotary 2019-2020 year!! This year we were able to complete 1075 hours and 10 minutes of service and received a Gold Award from the UC Davis Community Service and Civic Engagement Awards! 🏅

We raised $60 (and counting since this doesn’t include the Winter Quarter Happy Coins total) for End Polio Now (endpolio.org/)!

We have also raised a total of $1,800 during this year which will be split between a few organizations:
Yemen Relief and Reconstruction Foundation (yemen foundation.org): YRRF aims to increase awareness of the US public and policymakers about the humanitarian crises underway in Yemen, while supporting relief and reconstruction efforts and facilitating campaigns to bring peace to the country.
Campaign Zero (joincampaignzero.org): Campaign Zero is a project of WeTheProtestors which support the analysis of policing practices across the country, research to identify effective solutions to end police violence, technical assistance to organizers leading police accountability campaigns and the development of model legislation and advocacy to end police violence nationwide.
UC Davis Health - COVID-19 Support (health.ucdavis.edu/coronavirus/donate.html): UCD Health currently works to expand diagnostic and testing capacity and aid will help continue to support extended staff time and benefits for health care providers working directly on the crisis.

Keep on actively learning and growing; y’all are in good hands with Chris, Anh, and the upcoming board for the 2020-2021 Rotary year. If you need anything, you can always reach out to any Rotaract alumni in the future. The light doesn’t end here ✨
