On Thursday, June 12, 2025, Innovate GBM had the distinct honor of ringing the Nasdaq Closing Bell at MarketSite in Times Square—commemorating not only the memory of Sanam Thukral, DVM, but also the strength of every patient, family, and advocate driving change in the fight against glioblastoma.

This moment marked a powerful milestone in our mission to transform a historically fragmented brain tumor landscape into a connected ecosystem—one that accelerates research, clinical trials, investment, and patient support.

A Degree of Love, Legacy, and Honor. 🎓💙

On Friday, May 23rd, UC Davis awarded Dr. Sanam "Sunny" Thukral her posthumous Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, an emotional and unforgettable tribute to her brilliance, compassion, and unshakable dedication.

As the degree was awarded to her family, the room rose in a standing ovation, celebrating not just her academic achievements, but the light she brought into every space she entered.

Dr. Sanam Thukral's dream was to heal animals, and in her journey, she healed hearts.

Her legacy lives on in every life she touched.
