Please consider donating to the Matthew foundation. This year we will be giving out 500 weekend bags to summer school kids to eat over the weekend

Friends, family and fellow Quad Citians...

Our 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 starts in a month and runs through June, in Silvis, and through the first week of July, in Davenport. For those who don't know, what this program does is provide a bag of kid-friendly, weekend food, each Friday of Summer School, for the children in our program.
We are to the point where we are having to place food orders, to ensure that all the food for these children gets here in time and can be portioned for distribution.

This year has, understandably, been a lean season for donations, given the higher cost of living for everyone. So, we are reaching out to you all for help, so that we can provide 500+ bags of weekend food for the children in our program. As with any charitable organization, donations are our lifeblood. So, any assistance you can give is greatly appreciated...not just by us, but by the children that this program serves.

If you are able and so inclined, please help us bless these little ones. Every dollar matters and goes to make a difference in the lives of these precious children.

We are having a Trail Life interest meeting on Monday May 18, 2026. Trail Life is similar to AHG, but is meant for boys.
