We are pleased to announce the selection of Raymond W. Brauer as Scout Executive of the Illowa Council, Davenport, IA effective July 1, 2025.
Ray began his Scouting career as District Executive, Senior District Executive, and Director of Support Services for the Great Rivers Council in Columbia, MO. He moved on to become a District Director and later Field Director with the Crossroads of America Council, Indianapolis, IN. He was promoted to Director of Field Service of the Clinton Valley Council and Great Lakes Council, (Pontiac and Detroit, MI) and Heart of America Council, Kansas City, MO then Scout Executive of the Twin Valley Council in Mankato, MN.
Ray enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, and hiking.
Ray and his wife, Mardell, have 4 children; Reagan (26), Ana (23), Nick (20), and Becca (15).
Please join us in congratulating Ray as he joins in partnership with the volunteers and staff of the Illowa Council to deliver quality Scouting experiences to the young people of the communities we serve.
