Holten Richmond Middle School 7th grader Callie Joyce has been recognized by the Friends of Endicott Park Board for her outstanding fundraising efforts in support of the parkโ€™s animals. Through her initiative, Callie collects cans and bottles and donates all proceeds to benefit the animals at Endicott Park. So far, she has raised over $1,300โ€”and sheโ€™s still going strong.

If youโ€™d like to support Callieโ€™s efforts, you can drop off cans and bottles at 5 Norwich Road in Danvers. Thank you, Callie, for your dedication and generosity!

This post was on the Endicott Park page and we loved it so much, we wanted to share it!!

Though no longer with us, Gretaโ€™s legacy continues to shape Endicott Park through the generosity and love of those whose lives she touched.๐Ÿฅฐ

Before coming to Endicott Park, Greta was Alice Day Tonryโ€™s beloved horse, carrying her young rider safely through woods and fields, Pony Club events, and eventing competitions. She attended the University of Vermont with Alice, reigning for four years as the โ€œqueenโ€ of the UVM horse barn. Just as Alice began her post-college life, a stall opened at Endicott Park and Greta found her home for the next ten years. The second photo is a photo of Alice and Greta from last fall ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ.

In her memory, the Day-Tonry family of West Newbury have offered a matching-grant gift of $1,000 to The Friends of Endicott Park. It is their hope that this donation might encourage individuals and families who enjoy the Childrenโ€™s Barn to reciprocate by supporting the Friends of Endicott Park through their ongoing brick fundraiser.

Funds generated will be used to support the Friendsโ€™ efforts throughout the park, including their current project underway: replacement of the front and rear doors to the Carriage House. This is a great way to see your donation matched and memorialized on a brick in the Childrenโ€™s Barn entryway! Next time you visit the Childrenโ€™s Barn, look for the brick donated by the Day-Tonry family in 2018 that reads, โ€œWith love from Greta.โ€
