The Danvers Kiwanis Club’s night meeting crew had a spooktacular time putting together Halloween goodie bags for 100 students at the ’s Center for Communication! 🍬🧡

The Center will be hosting its Trunk or Treat event on October 17th, and we were delighted to help make the celebration extra special for the students.

Club President Gayla Bartlett dropped off the goodie bags to Dr. Karen Hopkins, Executive Director/CEO.

We love finding fun and meaningful ways to bring smiles to our community. A little Halloween magic goes a long way! 🧡🖤

Members of the Danvers Kiwanis Club were proud to be on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new Northeast Arc playground!

The Danvers Kiwanis Club proudly contributed $5,000 in honor of Barbara Remon and the incredible impact she has made through her advocacy and dedication to others.

We are so proud to have Barbara as a valued member of our Kiwanis family. Her commitment to making a difference is an inspiration to us all!

We are equally proud to support Northeast Arc, an organization that provides vital services and opportunities for so many individuals and families in our community. We are thrilled to help support a space where people of all abilities can play, connect, and thrive.

Together, we are making a difference, one act of kindness at a time! 💙

Our Club President, Gayla, and Club Secretary Kay attended the HAWC Breakfast today. HAWC and Danvers Kiwanis have a continuing partnership.

Today, our Underwriting Coordinator, Gayla Bartlett, attended HAWC's Healing Breakfast and had the honor of serving as the MC for the Fund-a-Need portion of the event.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this breakfast served as the kickoff event. 💜

DCAT is proud to be a long-time partner of HAWC and to support their important work in our community. We are grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside HAWC and help raise awareness and support for survivors.

Our guest speaker this week was Liz Barnes, Program Coordinator at the Council on Aging and Senior Center. Liz shared an impressive overview of the many programs and services available to older adults in our community — and everyone in the room walked away having learned something new.

From trips and travel opportunities, dance classes, and Social Seniors, to tax assistance, SHINE counselors, and countless enrichment programs, the Senior Center continues to be a vibrant hub of activity, support, and connection.

Her presentation was a wonderful reminder of just how dedicated Danvers is to supporting residents of all ages. It’s one more reason our town remains such a strong, caring, and engaged community.

Fabulous time at the touch a truck event at Endicott Park. The Danvers Kiwanis club handed out 1,500 construction hats with our logo. Beautiful to look out to a sea of children in their hats on all the trucks. Thanks to Kay,Diane,Irene and Doug D. For manning the table.

Our September monthly evening meeting was filled with fun, fellowship, and a few wonderful surprises. We were delighted to welcome and install our newest member, Wendy Ambrose, sponsored by Joe Flaherty.

Members also enjoyed working together to place Kiwanis logo stickers on the remaining construction hats for the Touch-a-Truck event at Endicott Park on September 12. In total, 1,500 hats were prepared for the event. A special thank-you goes to Diane and Kay for taking the time to sticker so many of the hats on their own.

Adding to the evening, State Representative Sally Kerans presented Club Secretary Kay Maurice with a special citation honoring her lifetime membership in the club.

The Danvers Kiwanis Club was honored to support such a beautiful, student-led project. The Colleen Ritzer Library is a beautiful tribute to an amazing person whose life continues to inspire so many. We are proud to have been a part of this special project and to help honor Colleen’s memory. 💙

What an incredible DCON weekend filled with leadership, celebration, and fellowship! 💙✨

Saturday nights event centered around Governor Adam, whose presence, guidance, and leadership set the tone for the entire weekend. His dedication to the district and his commitment to service were felt in every room and every moment.

We were also thrilled to see Lt. Governor Dan wrapping up his term, joined by his wife and fellow club member Janet. Dan’s impact on his clubs has been tremendous — his steady support, encouragement, and hands‑on leadership strengthened every club he worked with and left a lasting mark on the division.

Our Club President and District PR Chair, Gayla, brought amazing energy to the weekend by teaching her branding class. Her passion for helping clubs elevate their identity and outreach inspired everyone who attended.

All were present for the House of Delegates as we voted for our next Governor Elect. Congratulations to Lindy Falconer on her election win.

We wrapped up the weekend with Governor Karl’s night on Saturday. He introduced his board for the upcoming year also giving his vision for the path of the district. A lively evening full of celebration, fellowship, and the true spirit of service.

So grateful for every leader, every moment, and the shared commitment that made this DCON unforgettable. 💛🙌
