Had a great show yesterday with host Noelle Boc, Director of the Peabody Institute Library, Danvers, and guest author Kathleen Carr Foster on another episode of A Novel Idea. Kathleen will be coming out with her new book, The Jewel of Corlivo in October. Look for it!

We dropped by Danvers YMCA Fitness for their Active Older Adults Day. With community health fair stations, free fitness classes, raffles, screenings and information, and a potluck lunch there was lots to do! It was great to see everyone having a good time and learning more about services available in the area. Thanks to the YMCA for putting this event on!

DCAT is holding Summer Programs this summer!

Short Film Program: July 6th-10th from 9am to 12pm.
Learn concepts of filmmaking and all the skills needed to make a short film, and work together to make a group short film over the week of camp! For ages 8-13

Video Game Program: August 10th-14th from 9am to 12pm.
Learn about all aspects of video production while playing video games, creating shows about streaming and culminating with a Smash Brothers tournament! For ages 9-14

Essex County Habitat for Humanity is in Hamilton today working on constructing affordable homes in the pursuit of strengthening families and communities with the help of volunteer Gayla Bartlett. Greg and Ben was there to cheer on the gang!

UPDATE: Due to inclement weather the Memorial Day parade has been cancelled, however the ceremony will still take place as planned at 10:00am at the Holten Richmond Middle School.
