Meet Robin, your future favorite homebody! 🤍🐾

Some dogs crave nonstop adventures. Robin prefers peaceful days, leisurely strolls, and a cozy spot near his favorite people.

This fluffy Jindo–Chow Chow mix is already fostered in New England, where his foster mom describes him as an absolute sweetheart. 🥹

🤍 Gentle with family: Robin lives with three children and other dogs. He also peacefully shares a home with cats, though they generally don’t interact directly.
🐾 Laid-back and low-energy: He enjoys daily walks but doesn’t need strenuous adventures or constant entertainment. A relaxed routine suits him beautifully.
🛏️ Independent and comfortable at home: Leave his crate door open, and he may stroll right in for a nap! He’s quiet, isn’t destructive, and hasn’t shown separation anxiety in foster care.
🚶 A determined explorer: Robin enjoys walking but can become focused on where he’s going, so secure leash handling matters.
✨ Great potty progress: Robin used to mark indoors, but his current foster mom says he stopped quite some time ago. She recommends a belly band for his first week or two in a new home as he adjusts.

Meet Louis and Sarang. 🧡

🤍 Louis: Maltese · 2 years old · Neutered male · 7 lbs (3.3 kg) 🤍 Sarang: Spaniel Mix · 1 year old · Spayed female · 13 lbs (6 kg)
 One of them was rescued. The other one did the rescuing.

Sarang came out of a shelter just before her time ran out, terrified of hands, leashes, and the world outside the door. Two weeks later she moved in with a seven-pound Maltese named Louis, and everything changed. He showed her how to walk on a leash, how to let people close, how to play. Her foster says she learned more from him than from anyone else.

Louis was pulled from a breeding farm and somehow came out the friendliest dog in the room. He‘ll climb into any lap, follow his people from room to room, and greet every dog on the sidewalk like an old friend—but he also knows how to say ”enough“ when a bigger dog gets pushy. Small body, big confidence.

Sarang is the quieter one. She’ll watch you from a polite distance, and if you‘re calm and soft-spoken, she’ll come to you. She bows to invite bigger dogs to play, and after a walk she waits by the door until someone wipes her paws.
They‘ve done everything together for months. We’re only placing them together.

Why they‘re easy to love: 🐾 No separation anxiety, no destructive chewing 🐾 Rarely bark—Louis ”huffs“ when he wants something 🐾 Both come when called, even outdoors 🐾 Friendly with other dogs, indifferent to cats 🐾 Louis eats anything, walks beautifully on leash, and lives to run 🐾 Sarang goes potty on her walks and settles in quietly when alone
They aren’t looking for a loud, busy house. They‘re looking for a calm home with room on the couch for two, and a family that lets Sarang open up on her own schedule—with Louis right beside her.

Meet Leo. 🧡
 Some puppies want a family. Leo wants a pack.
Leo has never met a stranger—two-legged or four. He‘ll trail you into the bathroom just to keep you company, greet a new dog with a slow approach and a wagging tail, and if that dog isn’t in the mood, he‘ll back off and wait. His foster says he gives more love than he takes and somehow makes it feel like the other way around.

Here’s the honest part: Leo is a puppy, and he doesn‘t like being alone. In an earlier foster home he showed some separation anxiety and chewed on soft things that smelled like his person. In his current foster home—where he has an 8-year-old Italian Greyhound brother to nap beside—those behaviors have faded. That’s why we‘re looking for a home with a friendly, playful resident dog. For Leo, a buddy isn’t a bonus. It‘s the whole plan.

What his fosters love about him: 🐾 Comes when called—every time, even mid-meal 🐾 Eats whatever you put down, no fuss 🐾 Barely pulls on leash and loves his walks 🐾 No resource guarding, no nipping observed 🐾 Quiet at home—just a short bark at sounds by the front door 🐾 House-training well underway; he goes outside on his walks 🐾 Lives for squeaky balls and ”come catch me“ games
He isn’t looking for a home where a puppy mistake is a big deal. He‘s looking for a family (and a dog) with patience, a routine, and room on the couch for one more.

Meet Ohana. 🤍

Some dogs make a great first impression.
Ohana makes a lasting one.

When she first meets new people or visits unfamiliar places, she can be shy and unsure. She might watch from a distance, give you her signature “triangle eyes😣,” and even lose her appetite for a few days while she settles in. She isn’t difficult—she simply needs a little time to believe she’s safe.
Then something beautiful happens.

The reserved girl transforms into an affectionate shadow who follows her favorite person from room to room, leans in for pets, gently asks for more affection, and happily remembers the people she loves—even after time apart. Her foster family describes her as an endless lovebug once you’ve earned her trust.

Ohana also happens to be an incredibly easy dog to live with.

In Loving Memory of Vanechka

It has taken us several days to truly understand and accept that Vanechka is no longer with us.

On July 23, Vanechka peacefully went to sleep and never woke up.

Just the day before, he had been groomed and prepared for a photoshoot so we could share him in hopes of finally finding him a family. We had so much hope for him. He was happy, feeling well, and full of life. There were no signs that anything was wrong, and we still don’t know what happened.

That evening, as always, he went for a walk in the woods with his caregiver, ate well, and received his share of love and affection. Then he simply fell asleep.

He wasn’t even six years old.

Vanechka was truly special and touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. It hurts deeply that he never had the chance to find the forever home we had hoped for him.

But Vanechka was loved.

For the last year and a half of his life, he knew safety, warmth, care, and companionship. He knew that he mattered.

We also want to thank everyone who donated toward Vanechka’s surgeries and medical care. Because of your support, he received the treatment he needed and was able to walk again after surgery. None of us expected his life to be so short, but your kindness gave him the chance to experience comfort, movement, and joy again. We will always be grateful for that gift.

A very special thank you to Sofiko for giving Vanechka these beautiful final years—for loving him, caring for him, and giving him everything she could.

We wish we could have given you more time, Vanechka. We wish we could have seen you finally go home to a family of your own.

Run free over the rainbow bridge, our precious boy. 🌈🤍

You were loved. You mattered. And you will never be forgotten.

Meet Soy 🧡

Sweet, shy, and ready to blossom 🌸

Soy is a 7-month-old, 30 lb puppy currently fostered in South Korea and ready for her U.S. forever home once matched through our vetting process.

She may be cautious at first, but once she feels safe, Soy becomes affectionate, loyal, and beautifully attached to her people. She gains so much confidence from other dogs, so a canine sibling is a must for her future home.

Soy’s ideal family:
• Has another friendly dog
• Can give her lots of together time
• Is patient and gentle with shy puppies
• Enjoys daily walks, zoomies, and leaf-chasing adventures
• Understands she may feel anxious when left completely alone

She is potty trained, playful, and full of puppy charm. She loves walks, running around, and cuddling close once she trusts you.

🐾 Happy National Rescue Dog Day 🐾

Today, we are celebrating a few of the happy endings our community helped make possible.

At Never Alone Animal Rescue International, our mission is simple but deeply meaningful: to make sure rescue dogs are never truly alone. Whether they are waiting in shelters, recovering from illness, learning to trust again, or searching for the family they deserve, we do our best to stand beside them every step of the way.

Mila, Lily, Sugar, and Mimi were rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Korea while suffering from severe skin infections. After hearing about their condition from our rescue partners in South Korea, our volunteers and their friends came together to raise the funds needed for their care. Thanks to that support, the puppies received the treatment they desperately needed and all found their forever families.

You may also remember Nika from our December post. Nika and Platosha were rescued from Russia and needed proper rehabilitation, training, and care before they could move forward. Thanks to your donations and support, they were given the chance to heal and have now found their happy endings in Europe.

These stories are exactly why we are called Never Alone. Every donation, share, foster home, adopter, volunteer, and supporter helps us make sure another dog is seen, protected, and given a real second chance.

Is this for real? 🥺

Meet Robin 🐾
A gorgeous medium-sized Black Lab/Jindo mix who might just be the ultimate New England companion.

If you are looking for a boy you can take almost anywhere, Robin is your guy 🌲

As long as he gets his daily walks, outdoor time, and some playtime with another dog, he is perfectly happy spending the rest of the day snoozing nearby on the couch 🛋️💤

Robin is a true “human dog.” He does not need constant entertainment or attention. He simply wants to exist near his people, quietly keeping you company while you go about your day 🤍

✨ The Reality Check

Robin loves his humans deeply, which means being left alone can still feel hard for him sometimes.

Because of this, he currently takes anxiety medication and does best when crated while home alone. His crate routine has been incredibly important in helping him feel safe, relaxed, and successful while alone.

With structure, consistency, enrichment, and companionship, Robin truly thrives 🌿
