Today, I represented MADD MA alongside Robert Korey and Ollie at Duxbury High School.

Ollie was Elana's college puppy and, after her passing, became the face of Ollies Angels, helping carry forward her legacy and message of safe choices.

As a Duxbury High School graduate, Elana's connection to the school made the visit meaningful. Robert shared her story with students, highlighting how one decision can impact families, friends, and communities.

It was an honor to once again represent MADD MA at Minnechaug Regional High School during our third visit this year. The school’s strong commitment to student safety is especially evident as students prepare for prom and graduation season.

More than 200 students participated in the Fatal Vision Goggle activity, and many signed a pledge to remain substance-free and make responsible decisions behind the wheel.

Thank you to the students, faculty, staff, and administrators for continuing to prioritize prevention, education, and student wellness. Together, we are making a meaningful impact and helping to save lives.
Thanks to our continued partnership with Mapfre Insurance, we are able to spread consistent and ongoing awareness to The Commonwealth.
If anyone is interested in this type of programming, please reach out to me directly. Our presentations and materials are provided at no cost to the schools or community.

We would like to thank Bellingham High School and Danielle Gemme for inviting MADD to present to their Junior and Senior students during their PE classes today. The students were engaged, thoughtful, and actively participated in our Fatal Vision goggle activity.

We appreciate the opportunity to have important conversations about impaired driving, safe choices, and looking out for one another as prom and graduation season approaches. Thank you for helping us continue MADD’s mission of keeping our roads and communities safe.

Our friends at the Jackson Yelle Foundation have awarded their first Beacon of Light Grant. The idea is to support other families in New England that have lost a child to impaired driving. The goal is for them to use these funds to start scholarships in the name of their children, or to even start a Foundation. This grant is a way to raise awareness of the perils of impaired driving.

We are honored to pass along the news that Iris McGrath is the first Beacon of Light Award recipient.

If you would like an application to apply for the Beacon of Light grant, please email [email protected].

Today Mothers Against Drunk Driving MA was at David Prouty High School in Spencer, MA, where students participated in a powerful mock crash simulation.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Sarah Carmichael for bravely sharing her story with the students. As a victim of a crash involving an impaired driver, her words shed light on the lasting impact these preventable choices have; not just in a moment, but for a lifetime.

This was a perfect reminder for students as they prepare to celebrate prom this Saturday: make safe choices, look out for one another, and never get in a car with an impaired driver. Impaired driving includes alcohol, cannabis, prescription, and over-the-counter medications.

Grateful to be part of conversations that help keep our youth and communities safe.

Proud to represent MADD Massachusetts at Stoughton High School as students prepare for prom and graduation season.
Hundreds of students were in attendance, and 187 stepped into our Fatal Vision Goggle activity, experiencing firsthand how impairment affects coordination, reaction time, and decision-making.
This outreach was made even more powerful through our partnership with Fundación MAPFRE, helping us bring these critical, life-saving conversations into more of our schools.
