Mountain Maryland Search and Rescue

Mountain Maryland Search and Rescue Non-profit, volunteer team committed to the safe return of lost loved ones using K9 search & rescue. We are always happy to hear from you!

We are a Maryland Search Team Task Force (MSTTF) certified non-profit team of volunteers dedicated to providing time, assistance, and resources needed to find missing and endangered people. We are most known for our nationally certified canine teams trained to locate missing people through air scent and trailing work. We also have ground teams and a search case manager, certified to use various te

chnology and skills to assist in searches. We are available 24/7 for search missions and have traveled as far as West Virginia and Pennsylvania to provide support within surrounding communities. We meet weekly for canine team training, and bi-weekly for meetings and skills training in order to maintain and exceed certification standards set forth by MSTTF and American Working Dog Association (AWDA). We also attend and volunteer at numerous community activities to show support for other organizations and further assist our community. We are incredibly proud to share that our teammate and Vice President, Kayley, was recently honored with the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS) Star of Life Award for her role in helping save the life of a 16-year-old drowning victim at Rocky Gap in August 2025.

As a paramedic, Kayley's skill, dedication, and professionalism contributed to a response that gave a young person a second chance at life. This prestigious award recognizes the very best of Maryland's EMS clinicians, and we could not be more proud to see her receive this well-deserved honor.

We also want to recognize the many EMS clinicians, first responders, and citizen responders whose combined efforts made this successful outcome possible.

Please join us in congratulating Kayley on this remarkable achievement and in recognizing everyone whose actions helped make this life-saving outcome possible.
