Inspired by a message from Pastor Caleb Shaffer, our Director, Jeff Tasker, shares this reflection on God's faithfulness to Covenant Counseling Ministries and to all who trust Him.

If God Always Comes Through, Why Should I Worry About Anything?

"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name... When you pass through the waters, I will be with you." โ€” Isaiah 43:1โ€“2

One statement from Pastor Caleb Shaffer's sermon has continued to echo in our hearts:

"If God always comes through, why should I worry about anything?"

What a powerful question.

When we look back over the past 34 years of Covenant Counseling Ministries, we can remember countless moments when we wondered how God would provide. There were seasons when finances were tight, resources were limited, staffing needs seemed overwhelming, and we questioned how we could continue serving those who were hurting.

Today is one of those seasons again. Like many ministries and nonprofits, we are navigating financial challenges while striving to never lose sight of our calling. Every day we meet people who are hurting, and our desire is to continue saying "yes" to as many individuals and families as possible. While ministry is driven by compassion, it also requires faithful stewardship and the resources to carry it forward.

Yet every single time, God has made a way.

He has provided through generous partners, faithful volunteers, committed staff, unexpected blessings, and His perfect timing. Not always in the way we expectedโ€”but always in the way we needed.

Isaiah reminds us that God never promised we would avoid difficult waters or fiery trials. He promised something even greater: His presence. He walks with us through every challenge, and His faithfulness never fails.

Maybe today you're facing uncertainty. Take a moment to look back. Remember the times you thought there was no way forward, yet God carried you through. The same God who was faithful then is faithful now.

As long as we keep Jesus first, we can trust Him with what lies ahead.

If God has always come through, why should we worry about anything?

Has God brought you through a difficult season? We'd love to hear your story in the comments. Your testimony may be the encouragement someone else needs today.

โ˜€๏ธ Summer Check-In! โ˜€๏ธ

Summer often gives us the opportunity to slow down, get outside, and enjoy activities that refresh both our bodies and our minds.

๐Ÿ’™ What's one thing you're doing this summer that's helping you stay active and supporting your mental health?

Whether it's walking, hiking, swimming, gardening, traveling, spending time with loved ones, reading, or simply enjoying God's creation, we'd love to hear! ๐Ÿคฝ๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿชด
