As we approach Memorial Day, we remember and honor those who gave their lives serving and protecting others.
In The Gospel of John 15:13, Jesus teaches His disciples about the greatest form of love — sacrificial love — laying down one’s life for others. This verse reminds us of both Christ’s love and the courage and sacrifice of those we honor on Memorial Day.

John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends."

We continue to keep military families, loved ones, and our community in prayer this Memorial Day season.

Grace, thank you for the time, care, kindness, and hard work you brought to our office and clients throughout your journey with us. We are so thankful to have been part of this season of growth and learning in your life. Your dedication and compassionate heart have truly been a blessing to our team. 💙

During Mental Health Awareness Month, we would like to celebrate our incredible therapists (and now Nurse Practitioner!) at Covenant Counseling Ministries and all they do to bring hope, healing, and encouragement to others each day. Their compassion, patience, and dedication make a lasting difference in so many lives.
We wanted to make sure they felt loved and RELAXED so we "took them on trip to Hawaii"! 🏝️☀️

A word of encouragement from our director and therapist- Jeffrey Tasker!

“Called and Equipped” 💪🏻

At Covenant Counseling Ministries, we are continually reminded of a powerful truth: where God leads, He provides. He does not send us out unprepared, nor does He call us into places where His grace will not sustain us.

“Now may the God of peace… equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him…” (Hebrews 13:20–21)

There are seasons in life where the path forward feels uncertain—where the calling feels greater than our capacity. Yet Scripture reassures us that God’s faithfulness is not dependent on our strength, but on His. He is the One who equips, strengthens, and sustains.

“The one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:24)

Whatever God is leading you into today—whether it’s healing, growth, restoration, or stepping into something new—you can trust that He has already gone before you. He is actively working within you, providing what is needed in every moment.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6)

Be encouraged: you are not walking this journey alone. Where He leads, He will equip.

We would like to welcome our newest staff member to the work family, Amber Conway, PMHNP-BC, MBA, BSN, RN, RT (R)(N)(M), CNMT. ❤️
Amber is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 35 years of experience in healthcare and healthcare administration. 👩🏻‍⚕️

⭐She will be seeing clients on MONDAYS and THURSDAYS, and we are so excited to have her as part of our team.⭐

Amber's career spans direct patient care, leadership, and operational roles, giving her a comprehensive understanding of both clinical practice and system-level healthcare delivery.

She earned her PMHNP degree from Frostburg State University, her Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University, and her Registered Nurse diploma from Allegany College of Maryland. She also holds advanced credentials in radiologic technology and nuclear medicine, reflecting the breadth and depth of her clinical background.

Amber brings medication management services to CCM with a strong commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care that aligns with the values and principles she shares with her peers. She is dedicated to collaborative practice, thoughtful psychiatric evaluation, and individualized treatment planning that supports long-term mental health and overall well-being.
