Please help us keep Cumberland Skatepark clean, safe, and beautiful.

When visiting the park, please park only in the designated parking area.

Do not park on the grass, around the skatepark, or along areas that are not marked for parking. Use common sense.

The grass and grounds are part of the park too, and we want to keep them looking good for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you for respecting the space and helping us take care of the park.

What started as a dream, years of meetings, planning, fundraising, and community support is now something people are using every single day. Seeing kids, families, BMX riders, skaters, scooters, and everyone in between enjoying this space has been incredible.

If you’ve taken any photos or videos of your family, your kids, your friends, or yourself enjoying the park over the last 6 months, drop them in the comments!

Whether it’s your first drop-in, your kid landing something new, a family session, or just hanging out enjoying the vibe.. we want to see it!!

This park was built for the community, and the community is what brings it to life every day!! 🛹🛼👩‍🦽‍➡️🛴🚴

📣PRESS RELEASE 📣
Motorized Vehicles Prohibited at Gene Mason Sports Complex Skatepark

The administration of the Parks and Recreation Department would like to remind all park goers that the skatepark is designated exclusively for non-motorized recreational use. Effective immediately and strictly enforced, all motorized vehicles and devices are expressly prohibited within the skatepark area.

This includes, but is not limited to, dirt bikes, motorized scooters, mini bikes, ATVs, and any other gas- or electric-powered vehicles and remote operated vehicles. These restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of all park users and to preserve the intended use of the facility for skateboarding, BMX biking (non-motorized), inline skating, and similar activities.

Visitors found in violation of this policy may be subject to removal from the premises and potential penalties.

We appreciate the community's cooperation in helping maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

For questions or additional information, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at [email protected].

Hey everyone — just a respectful reminder from the park crew 🛹

The no motors rule also applies to RC cars and any other motorized wheeled vehicles. If it has wheels and a motor, please keep it off the skatepark.

We know RC cars are fun, and we love seeing people enjoy the space in different ways, but the park was specifically built for skateboards, BMX, scooters, and blades.

Keeping motorized vehicles out helps protect the flow of the park and, most importantly, keeps everyone safe.

This space means a lot to our community, and the best way we can all take care of it is by using it the way it was intended.

We truly appreciate everyone helping us keep the park safe, respectful, and fun for all riders. 🤘
