After many years of fellowship and focusing on helping the children of our community, the cumberland Kiwanis club is coming to an end. It's difficult and bittersweet, but with only 18 members we do not meet the minimum set by the organization and feel that we can no longer serve in the capacity we have in the past. We will continue to meet through September, when the fiscal year ends. This gives us the opportunity to disperse our remaining funds and reflect on the truly amazing memories we have made. Thank you to everyone that supported our efforts; please remember that this is our community and we owe it to one another to help in any way we can. There are many organizations for which you can volunteer, and one hour of your time can truly make a difference. I am proud of the accomplishments of this club and also proud to be a part of this community, let's continue to make it a great place for generations to come!

Every little bit helps

We're collecting donations for a young family that doesn't have much for the Holidays. A single mother of 23 and her three year old son. Houseware and toiletries are most needed. Donations can be dropped off at the Holiday Inn Monday-Friday 9-5. For more information or questions, please contact Samantha Shank at [email protected]
