Equinox Ranch is a public charity providing a program for U.S. combat veterans. Conservative estimates report that at least 30% of combat veterans (U.S.

Department of Veterans Affairs) suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). At least half of those never seek treatment and of those who do seek treatment, most only receive "minimally adequate" treatment. At EQUINOX RANCH we believe that our veterans deserve the best treatments we can offer them. We have broken down many of the barriers that prevent veterans from reaching out to get the he

lp they need and deserve. We provide a safe and healthy environment that allows veterans to focus on readjusting to home and civilian life.

We were blessed to have the students from YM360 back this week for the fourth year in a row. While attending camp on the WCU campus, they came out for 4 hours a day over 3 days. They are amazing. There were 30 of them. We learned from previous years to have plenty of work for them since they move through it quickly. Here is a partial list..

Put together 4 rocking chairs and a King size bed.
Stained the outside of the Performing Arts Center (POC)
Stained the deck
Put 2 coats on the walls and doors of the POC and painted molding.
Weeded
Washed sheets and made beds.
Cleaned the ranch
etc.

We hope they return again next year.

We had our first volunteers start priming the Equinox Ranch Performing Arts Center today, if your friends and family, team or fraternity or ??? are interested in taking a shift and helping, please get in touch.

We have not posted in a long time because we have been busy working behind the scenes. Our amazing volunteers converted our former boathouse into The Equinox Ranch Performing Arts Center. The building is a great venue for hosting concerts.

Most of the building is finished but it still needs some finishing touches including priming, painting staining and installing molding. If your family, church, fraternity, etc are able to help us, perhaps spend a day or two on our beautiful riverfront property while Please let us know so we can set up a day.

We have the very talented guitarist Richard Smith returning for the second annual Pickin for the Planet concert scheduled for September 26 th. Please check back for more details or contact us if you would like to host a concert at the ranch.

Happy Veterans Day! ( or Armistice Day as it was known in my mom”s family, many who had served in Workd War I.

On this day we show our gratitude and respect for those who served our country.

At Equinox Ranch, we show our gratitude and respect for veterans everyday. We have built an amazing place and program to Help Warriors Heal.
