🚨🚨UPDATE🚨🚨 We've been monitoring the weather and hoping to reschedule the High Country Youth League Wrestling - HCYL Championships to this Saturday at Enka Middle School.

Unfortunately the weather forecast has led Buncombe County Schools to cancel all activities for the weekend, so we are announcing that the event is postponed again and at this point the make up date is TBA.

The make up date will NOT be Feb. 7-8 as that is the Elementary and Jr. High State Championships in Bermuda Run, NC, where many of our league members will be wrestling.

There is still hope of a possible date in February for the event! STAY TUNED for more updates and thanks for your patience and support ! Stay safe and we will see you ON THE MATS again soon!

High Country Youth League Wrestling - HCYL Championships are being postponed due to the weather this weekend. We are working on a reschedule option for possibly next weekend! Please stay tuned and we will update everyone as soon as possible.

Its TIME!!! The HCYL League Championships are COMING next Saturday at Mitchell HS!

Pre-K through 8th graders from across the mountains will compete for league honors! Entry Fee is FREE!!!! Athletes must have a USA Membership to participate. Register through your club leaders OR on-site.

Spectators are $5

THREE great opportunities across Western NC this weekend for your youth wrestlers to get on the mats!

Saturday Ashe County hosts the Rumble on the Ridge! A rookie session in the morning followed by a bracketed tournament for Pre-K-8th grade in session 2!

Also Saturday Polk Co. HS hosts the Wolverine Warm up. Check in from 8-9 and wrestling will begin immediately after.

And then Sunday Andrews HS will host the Wild West Youth Scramble. Pre-K thru 8th starting with weigh-ins at 2pm.

Its a great weekend in the High Country for Youth Wrestling!! See you ON THE MATS!!
