Sugar Hollow Day Camp Fostering growth, independence, and leadership through outdoor adventure for girls of all ages.

We teach girls to respect nature and love scouting by building skills in health & safety, camp songs, tie-dye, knots, tools, firebuilding, and outdoor cooking.

Calling all campers! We need your help to design our 2027 camp patch and t-shirt!

🎨 🖌️ 🖼️ 👩‍🎨 🏕️ ⛰️ 💧 🐸 🦐 🌳

The theme for next year is "Mountain Streams,"inspired by the beautiful Moorman's River watershed that supplies our beloved wading creeks and Frog Pond. Sugar Hollow Day Camp in 2027 will highlight this natural resource and develop programming that celebrates it but also teaches the future stewards of the environment about how to protect it.

Submit your original art to [email protected] by November 1st. Please avoid AI-generated art. The winner will receive a GSVSC mess kit, and their design will be used to create the 2027 patch and t-shirt!

One of our campers recently described Sugar Hollow Day Camp as their “country,” in the aboriginal sense, meaning it has a “deep and longstanding significance for them and their ancestors.”

Whether it was your camper’s first time this year, or they’re following their sisters and mothers in attending, we hope all our campers gain this sense of belonging at camp 💚
