Thanks to our incredible CART community, we reached our $3,000 goal to purchase hay for the winter!

There are riders, families, instructors, volunteers, and—of course—the horses who all play a part in CART’s programs.

Our Stack the Barn fundraiser is one small way our community can support the horses who give so much to the people they work with.

A huge thank you to United Way of Greater Charlottesville for joining us for their Day of Caring! They helped wash food buckets and tack kits, groomed horses, and spent some quality time with the donkeys. We had such a great time working with everyone and truly appreciate all their help. 🐴 Horse Spotlight: Bristol and Rocky

Meet Bristol and Rocky, two of the incredible CART horses!

When not getting into mischief, these two can be seen grazing in the pasture, socializing with the herd, or making our students and volunteers laugh.

They love a yummy treat and would like us to remind you how much they enjoy their hay in the winter.

We are working to raise $3000 to stock up on hay this September.

Winter means making sure that the CART herd has the hay they need to stay healthy and well cared for.

Our horses are an essential part of CART, so caring for them is an essential part of caring for our program.

We are working to purchase the hay we will need for the winter ahead.

Our goal is $3000! ✨

At Charlottesville Area Riding Therapy, horses are partners in therapeutic work. They can help riders build strength, balance, coordination, confidence, communication, and connection.

That’s why our stack the barn fundraiser is about more than hay.

It’s about making sure the horses who are such an important part of CARTs programs are healthy, cared for and ready to do their job all winter long.
