Meet 🐾 Maximus 🐾

Max is a 7 year old Great Pyrenees looking for his fur-ever home !

Max is very loyal and loving to all people, although he sometimes has to warm up to other dogs. But he loves all of his friends here, and goes to the dog park frequently.

He loves running and playing, but never turns down some head scratches from his favorite people.

She loves other dogs, and has many friends in our doggy daycare! Rhaney is a total love bug and will crawl right into your lap if you’d let her. But she can also be a ball of energy that loves to run and play!

🐾 We Need Your Help

At Heartland Rescue, we are currently asking for help with donations for several of our rescue dogs who have ongoing medical needs.

One of those dogs is our newest friend, who was recently found wandering near the Love's Travel Stop truck stop in Glenwood. We believe he may have been left behind when a truck passed through and never came back for him.

Despite everything, he has been incredibly sweet and trusting.

After visiting the vet today, we learned he is suffering from a tick-borne illness and will need ongoing medical treatment to recover. With proper care and medication, he has a very good chance of getting better — but the treatment comes with unexpected costs. He has not been claimed yet but until he does we take care of him.

We are committed to giving him the care he deserves, but we could really use the community’s help right now.
