Last night we soft-launched our teacher closet with the first year elementary school teachers, and it was a huge success!

The teacher closet would not exist without our amazing community of supporters - we cannot thank you enough for donating these items and making this possible. ❤

We know teachers all across the Council Bluffs Community School District are eager to stop by and visit the teacher closet, and we will have more information very soon on how to do that. Thank you for your patience!

If you would like to donate or purchase items for the teacher closet, please visit our website at cbsf.org or stop by our office!

“I am so thankful for the Foundation! You help me put FUN learning tools into my students’ hands! Through my grant, I was finally able to complete our entire set of number blocks, numbers 1–20! Thank you for always putting students first!"

Experiences like this would not be possible without your support. By giving to the Foundation, you are supporting teachers all across the Council Bluffs Community School District and creating new learning opportunities for their students, like Mrs. Liston's class at College View Elementary.

We’re excited to share some big news at the Council Bluffs Schools Foundation!

Please join us in congratulating Mia Laustrup, who has accepted the position of Development Director!

Mia has been part of the Foundation team for the past seven years, and throughout that time she has become such an important part of our organization and our community. She knows our mission, our schools, and the people we serve, and she cares deeply about the work we do.

Mia has a gift for building relationships, bringing people together, setting goals, and making things happen. We’re excited for her to bring that experience and a fresh perspective to our development work as we continue growing support for children, families, and staff across Council Bluffs.

We’re incredibly grateful for all Mia has given to the Foundation over the past seven years, and we’re even more excited to see what’s ahead!

Congratulations, Mia! We’re so lucky to have you on our team. ❤️
