Cooperstown 3, Faith Heritage 0

Top-seeded Cooperstown shutout 5-seed Faith Heritage in the Section III Class C semifinals on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Clinton High School.

The top two seeds will battle for the championship at Vernon-Verona-Sherril High School on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 1:00, featuring No. 1 Cooperstown against No. 2 Westmoreland/Oriskany.

🏊‍♀️ HAWKEYES MAKE A SPLASH AT TVL CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Congratulations to our Cooperstown varsity girls swimming team on an outstanding performance at the Tri Valley League (TVL) Championships on Friday, Oct. 23, at New Hartford High School!

The Hawkeyes finished third out of seven teams, with some incredible individual accomplishments along the way!

Of the team's 21 swim performances, 16 resulted in personal-best or season-best times! Eight of Cooperstown's nine competing swimmers recorded at least one personal or season best.

🌟 Senior Emily Kane had a record-breaking meet!
–Set a new TVL league AND meet record in the 200 Individual Medley (2:15.65).
–Set a new TVL meet record in the 100 Breaststroke (1:07.64).
–Qualified for the NYSPHSAA Championships in the 100 Breaststroke! She'll compete at Webster Aquatic Center from Nov. 19-21.
–Earned TVL Swimmer of the Year honors!

Emily also currently holds the top 200 Individual Medley time in Section III as she looks ahead to sectionals and a potential second event at states!

👏 Sportsmanship Spotlight: Emily Kane and Shelby Haberbusch were selected by their teammates as Cooperstown's recipients of the newly introduced TVL Sportsmanship Award!

A tremendous amount of hard work went into these performances, with several swimmers shaving significant time off events they've competed in throughout the season.

Congratulations to all our Hawkeyes swimmers and coaches on a fantastic championship meet! We're proud of you!

BOYS SOCCER ⚽️

Cooperstown 9, Thousand Islands 0

First-seed Cooperstown cruised to a lopsided win over Thousand Islands in its Section III Class quarterfinal match on Friday, Oct. 23, at Lambert Field.

Cooperstown (12-3-1) meets 5-seed Faith Heritage in a section semifinal match at 5 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Clinton High School.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Hawkeyes Shine at Cross Country League Championships!

Congratulations to our Cooperstown cross country runners on a strong showing at Saturday's Center State Conference League Championships at Sherburne-Earlville High School!

🏅 Girls Varsity: The girls finished second in Division I, just 10 points behind Clinton, and placed second overall! Evelyn Rhodes (Milford) led the way with a first-place overall finish, while Olivia Temp placed 11th. Both earned Division I All-Star honors! Three additional runners finished 14th, 17th and 18th overall.

🏅 Boys Varsity: The boys finished second out of five Division II teams, behind Sauquoit Valley, and ninth out of 15 teams overall. They also outpaced two teams that had beaten them during the regular season! Owen Flannigan earned Division II All-Star honors.

Violet also delivered an impressive performance, finishing second in her race by less than two seconds! Aidan and Leo turned in strong races as well, while our younger runners continued gaining valuable experience.

Congratulations to all our runners and coaches on a great day of racing! 👏

🎶 Junior High Musical This Weekend!

Join us this Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. or Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m. in the N.J. Sterling Auditorium for How to Train Your Dragon, Jr.!

Tickets are available at the door: $12 for adults, $5 for students, and senior citizens by donation.

⚽ HAWKEYES ADVANCE TO THE SECTIONAL SEMIFINALS!

Our No. 1-seed Hawkeyes boys varsity soccer team is moving on! Cooperstown defeated Thousand Islands 9-0 on Friday afternoon in the Section III Class C Tournament quarterfinals to advance to the semifinal round!

The boys will now face Faith Heritage with a trip to the sectional championship on the line!
