🎶 Junior High Musical This Weekend!

Join us this Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. or Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m. in the N.J. Sterling Auditorium for How to Train Your Dragon, Jr.!

Tickets are available at the door: $12 for adults, $5 for students, and senior citizens by donation.

It's here! Today, Friday, September 18th is the Mohawk Valley Gives Day of Giving event! This community-wide giving initiative will benefit nonprofit organizations serving the Mohawk Valley region.

Your donations to FoMA during Mohawk Valley Gives will allow us to continue supporting the Art & Music Departments in the Cooperstown Central School District with things like:

- Providing Art & Music Enrichment Activities for CCS Elementary and High School Students
- Providing the Awards for the Annual Ruggles Writing Competition
- Offsetting the Cost of the Pit Orchestra for the Annual CCS High School Musical
- Providing College Scholarships
-Helping CCS students attend Art & Music Summer Camp and Music Lesson Scholarships

Every year, FoMA provides College Scholarships, Summer Art or Music Camp Scholarships and Music Lesson Scholarships to local youth so they can continue to pursue their love of the arts. Your donations to FoMA during 2026 FOMA-Mohawk Valley Gives will allow us to continue supporting the Art & Music Departments and students in the Cooperstown Central School District.

🎶 Auditions for Junior High Musical Sept. 9 and 11!

Auditions for this year's Junior High Musical – How to Train Your Dragon, Jr. – will be held after school on Wednesday, Sept. 9, and Friday, Sept. 11, from 3:00-4:30 p.m. All 7th and 8th graders are eligible to participate! Interested students should see Mrs. Hogle in the band room on Tuesday, Sept. 8, to pick up audition materials.

Due to scheduling conflicts and the general end-of-the-school-year craziness, we are canceling our FOMA meeting scheduled for this Thursday, June 4th. Please keep an eye out for meetings beginning again in the Fall!

Is your child interested in camp or lessons in art or music this summer? If so, they can apply for a FoMA Scholarship!

Students in the Cooperstown School District completing grades K-12 in June are eligible to apply for financial assistance made possible by FOMA (Friends of Music & Art in Cooperstown) to attend summer educational programs (camps or group/private lessons) in:
- Instrumental Music
- Vocal Music
- Visual Arts
- Writing
- Theatre
- Dance

The award, up to $500, will be made payable to the program the student will be attending. The application deadline for summer programs is this Monday, June 1, 2026.
