Cooperstown Repair Cafe is on the road! On May 9 at the Earth Festival at the SUNY Oneonta Chase Gym, bring small appliances, lamps, sewing projects, laptops, bikes and more and volunteer expert repair coaches will evaluate and help you to fix them for free.

Otsego 2000 was delighted to be a part of Welcome Home Cooperstown, providing food sourced from the Cooperstown Farmers Market for a crowd of 100 or so. This monthly series welcomes newcomers to the community, shares information, and makes connections with established residents.

We are always happy to showcase the Farmers' Market, and let people know about the local bounty available to them every Saturday. Welcome Home featured food from:

In 2025, these initiatives resulted in more than $50,000 in local food going to people in need.

SNAP is welcome at the Market and a $20 SNAP spend results in $60 with of local food, through the Cooperstown Lions Club SNAP Match and Field and Fork Network's Double Up Food Bucks. The Farmers' Market also accepts vouchers from the Cooperstown Food Pantry.

A win-win-win: More food for those in need, more customers for local farmers, and more investment in the local economy.

Area high school seniors encouraged to apply for a new $1,000 scholarship from Otsego 2000. The scholarship is for a graduating senior who will be pursuing a major or post-high school training connected to the mission and programs of Otsego 2000.

“We want to support young people in our region who are pursuing college degrees or post high school training that will help them build a stronger community here,” says Ellen Pope, executive director of Otsego 20000. “From traditional building trades to environmental science, agricultural science to planning and public health, we want to invest in the next generation of leaders in and near Otsego County.”
