Thank you to everyone that stopped by and chatted with the Winter Carnival Committee at the Welcome Home Cooperstown meetup on Tuesday. We had so much fun meeting new friends and seeing familiar faces.

We also announced the details for the next Winter Carnival!

Save the date for the 59th annual Cooperstown Winter Carnival - Frozen in time: A retro throwback to the Winter Carnival throughout the decades. February 4th - 7th 2027.

While everyone is dreaming of spring among the snow flurries today, Frosty and the Winter Carnival committee are already at work planning for the 59th Annual Cooperstown Winter Carnival and need your help.

Here's how you can get involved!

❄️ Join the Committee
Be part of the team that brings it all together! Committee members collaborate on event planning, community outreach, and fundraising. We're especially hoping to find someone passionate about managing donations and fundraising. Meetings are just once a month (with a summer break in July & August, and two meetings in January).

❄️ Become a Friend of the Winter Carnival (New!)
Want to help without the commitment? As a Friend of the Carnival, you can volunteer for one-off tasks like hanging flyers, picking up supplies, or lending a hand at committee hosted events. You'll hear from us by email when help is needed, no need to attend meetings.

While we have just wrapped the 2026 Cooperstown Winter Carnival festivities, the Winter Carnival Committee is already brainstorming ideas for the next theme and want your help. We’re looking for a short catchy phrase that captures the essence of Cooperstown and invokes winter vibes.

The Cooperstown Winter Carnival is for the community and by the community - a collective effort to connect, spread joy, and support one another. This year was no exception, in spite of the very cold weather, there were smiles around and joyful memories created.
