As another school year comes to an end, we just want to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for your work in supporting our students.

Your advocacy and dedication is appreciated and seen by many.

Please take this time to rest and spend time in whatever brings you joy over your well deserved summer break.

We continue the fight for paid pregnancy leave for teachers.

WE DID THIS! Thousands of CTA members shared their story, signed petitions, showed up to the Capitol to fight for pregnancy leave - and now our sponsored legislation alongside Assemblymember Aguiar Curry (who has been with us from the beginning!) is now in the May Revise. 14 weeks of paid pregnancy leave will be transformational for California educators and families. Onward to ensuring this vital legislation is included in the final budget in June! –Erika Jones, CTA Secretary-Treasurer
