Together, we build brighter futures. đź’™ As the Founder and CEO of the Veterans Accession House (VAH), I serve my fellow veterans by operating a charitable organization that offers secure, affordable, transitional housing for homeless or At-Risk Veteran students pursuing higher education. VAH presently houses a veteran family and single veteran students at its Pittsburg duplex house
. We net-works with local City Colleges, Private and State educational institutions to identify, at need student veterans. The VAH provides a living environment where veteran students can find the support and comradery of like-minded, goal oriented students. In addition to supporting student veterans with housing, and to meet their educational goals, program staff advocate for students, to the VA to ensure each student veteran receives the full range of benefits and entitlements earned from their military service. We collaborate with local industry, agencies and government entities to identify internships for students in-their-area of study. Veterans attaining their educational goals, will be aided in developing a professional resume, strategies toward career development, offer coordinated industry tours, and referral to partnering employers.
