This week we celebrated Parent-Grad Day at Upper Arlington Rotary Club where master of ceremonies Bill Hosket recognized the recent graduates who are children and grandchildren of our members. This year's ceremony marked the 50th year that UA Rotary has hosted this cherished tradition.
We also awarded this year’s Upper Arlington Rotary Club Community Service Scholarship Award winners, all incredible Upper Arlington High School seniors who we have recognized for their incredible dedication and contributions to our community, in addition to their remarkable academic achievements. The Award recipients, who are each receiving a $2,000 scholarship from UA Rotary were: Natalie Ness, Alberto Manganelli, Alexander Skoracki and Nora Ginnan.
Finally Alan Yarletts presented this year’s recipient of the Alan Yarletts Interact Service Scholarship Award, recognizing the most outstanding UA High School Senior who has participated in Upper Arlington Interact. This year’s recipient of the $3,000 scholarship is Meredith McCormick, who participated in Interact four straight years with a remarkable 95% attendance, and over 341 hours of service, along with achieving the highest academic honors.
