At the Women’s Fund, we recognize that true gender equity cannot exist without racial justice. Juneteenth is both a celebration and a call to action. As we commemorate the end of slavery in the United States in 1865, we also acknowledge the work still ahead to ensure opportunity and equity for Black women and girls.

In observance of the holiday, the Women’s Fund office will be closed on Friday. We encourage you to celebrate by attending one of the many Juneteenth events in Columbus! At the Women’s Fund of Central Ohio, our trust-based, capacity-building grants go beyond providing funding. We form deep, collaborative partnerships with grantees and connect them with other capacity-building opportunities. We also strive to make our process as streamlined as possible so that Grant Partners can spend more time on their mission and less time on administrative hoops.⁠
