A $60,000 grant is coming to Blanket Fort Hope to fund construction of our Trauma Training Center thanks to the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham. While we are beyond grateful for this recognition, we know exactly who made it possible. It's the staff who show up every single day, who pour themselves into this mission when the work is hard, who believe restoration is worth fighting for even when no one is watching.

This center will be something special. Trauma-informed supervised visitation rooms. Foster parent training classrooms. Counseling spaces. Dedicated workspace for law enforcement. Because the people fighting for survivors deserve a space equipped to match their dedication.

None of it happens without the hearts behind it. Thank you to every member of this team for making Blanket Fort Hope the kind of organization that others believe in enough to invest in. We are so proud to do this work alongside you. 🤍

Vestavia Hills Methodist Church filled our craft room from top to bottom, from the cabinets lining the walls to the paintbrushes waiting to be picked up. Every detail was thoughtfully provided so our girls would walk into a space that felt cared for before they ever arrived.

We are so grateful to Westwood Baptist Church for featuring Blanket Fort Hope as their May Ministry Highlight and for sharing our Walmart Food Registry with their congregation. Because of their generosity and yours, our Restoration Home pantry is fully stocked and ready to welcome the girls we serve.

For the girls we will walk alongside, many have lived under the weight of deep deception. Our work is rooted in the belief that the same truth that sets hearts free is the foundation for every part of healing. 💙

Eleven years ago, God gave our CEO Alexa Likis James a dream. There was no land, no building, no blueprint — just a calling and a faith that, as Jesus tells us in Matthew 17:20, only needs to be as small as a mustard seed to move mountains.

Today, we get to say with full hearts: He did it.

Blanket Fort Hope has officially received DHR approval to house children in the Restoration Home. The home is open.

To every person who prayed, gave, volunteered, and believed in this mission — this moment belongs to you too. Thank you.

To the Lord be all glory. Every acre. Every brick. Every provision. Every open door.

Christ is our foundation.
Hope is our mission.
The home is open.

Today we pause to celebrate children all around the world. The ones who make us laugh, the ones who remind us why we fight, and the ones still waiting to be found.

Every life, at every stage, carries immeasurable worth and deserves to be recognized, celebrated, and fiercely protected. We believe every child deserves the freedom to simply be a child. That conviction is not just what drives our work at Blanket Fort Hope. It is who we are, and it is the heartbeat behind everything we do.

In a world that can feel overwhelming, we anchor ourselves in this promise, and it is the same anchor we hope to offer every girl who walks through our doors.
