History
Founded in 2015, our mission from the start has been to help restore child survivors of s*x trafficking in Alabama. Our Executive Director, Alexa James, has an extensive history in serving and pouring her heart out for these women and children. She has served with multiple human trafficking organizations in our city, professionally and through volunteerism. In fact, it was during a season
of street outreach that she realized that the issue of child survivors had gone unaddressed in our state. Mission
Our goal is to see every child s*x trafficking survivor restored through access to essential services, compassionate care, and a loving Christian witness. For the last 5 years, we have focused on equipping foster care families and industry professionals to compassionately respond to the survivors they come across. Our state-approved training has found its way into the hands of over 6,000 individuals since we started! Additionally, our faith-based community resources, such as our trafficking informational materials and Bible study, have been made available to over 2,000 people across all of our platforms; while still more are in development! Moving into the second half of 2021, we will see our flagship program finally begin to take off. By the end of July 2021, we will complete the purchase of 73 acres in Columbiana, AL that will be the future location of our 9-child Restoration Home and Therapeutic Cottages. By the grace of God, we will finally be able to realize our first mission of providing essential services like healthcare, education, therapy, legal counsel, and first-person compassionate care to every child who will call our Fort home.
