The Nurse Honor Guard is a volunteer organization of nurses who come together to honor the lives, service, and legacy of nurses. Much like military honor guards pay tribute to veterans, Nurse Honor Guards ensure that a nurse’s dedication to the profession is recognized with dignity and respect.
Their mission is often summed up in one phrase:
“Nurses honoring nurses.”
Help us spread the word about the Nurse Honor Guard and the services we provide by sharing and inviting your friends to our page, especially your nurse friends.
The Alabama Nurse Honor Guards was established to help connect those requesting a Nurse Honor Guard service in the State of Alabama with the appropriate Nurse Honor Guard chapter. Our Lead Coordinator is Amanda Simmons.
ANHG helps inspire and assist others to start groups in areas without coverage. Alabama currently has 10 local chapters covering most of our 67 counties. In addition , ANHGs help connect nurses interested in volunteering with a local Nurse Honor Guard group.
The ANHG is an organizing body, not a governing body under the guidance of National Nurse Honor Guard Coalition. Each Nurse Honor Guard chapter functions independently.
