A graduate of Wake Forest University and the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Dr. Bedingham completed advanced residency training caring for medically complex patients and individuals with special needs.

After years of dedicated service, our CEO, Juanita Wright, is beginning a well-earned retirement.
Throughout her tenure, she has helped guide our organization's growth, strengthen partnerships across South Carolina, and advance our mission of helping individuals and families access the care they need. Her vision, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to serving others have left an lasting mark on our organization and the communities we serve.

More than a leader, she has been a champion for our mission, inspiring those around her with compassion, integrity, and heart. Her influence has touched countless lives and helped shape our organization into what it is today.

During her recent retirement celebration, Representative Chris Wooten presented Juanita with the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina's highest civilian honor, from Govenor Henry McMaster, in recognition of her extraordinary service and contributions to our state. The award reflects what so many of us have witnessed firsthand: a lifetime dedicated to improving the lives of others.

Through a shared commitment to serving others, our partnership has grown to create additional opportunities for patients to access medication assistance. By welcoming our Community Outreach Advocate onsite in the Learning Lab each month, Pathways has helped make it easier for community members to learn about Welvista's services, receive application assistance, and access the support they need.

Their collaborative approach and willingness to think creatively have strengthened connections between organizations and expanded access to care for the individuals and families they serve. In just a short time, this partnership has already helped connect more patients to life-changing resources, and we're excited about the impact we'll continue to make together.

To help make dental care more accessible, Smiles for a Lifetime offers transportation for students who need it. Our team works directly with schools to coordinate appointments, pick students up from school, transport them to their dental visit, and return them safely to class afterward.

By partnering closely with school staff, we're able to minimize missed classroom time while ensuring children receive the dental care they need. It's just one more way we're helping make healthy smiles possible for every student. 😁✨
