BTQG Starlight Piecemakers meets tonight, September 3rd at 7:00. BTQG member, Jackie Berry is our speaker. Jackie will do a trunk show of art quilts and traditional bed quilts. She will talk about the benefits of being involved in groups, telling your story, and documenting your work. You can see some of Jackie’s work at www.jackiequilts.com

Our Starlight Piecemakers’ speaker for August was BTQG member, Vicki Berry. Vicki shared with us the many techniques she has learned for dyeing, painting, screen printing, and other methods on fabrics to use in quilts, garments, and other projects. Maria taught us to make these cute cross- body bags at Sit & Sew at Day Chapter. You’ll be able to purchase them at our Quilt Show Marketplace on October 23-24. These bags have 3 pockets to hold your phone, keys, & credit cards/money when you are shopping or attending quilt shows!

At the Aug 3 day chapter meeting we saw many beautiful quilts. It was more of a quilts throughout 3 generations of family quilters but also had many quilts that would be good ways to use up scraps. Thanks to Connie, Ustena and Irmgard for showing us these treasures!
