Sleep in Heavenly Peace - MO, Columbia

16/10/2026

We are a little short handed for our bed delivery on Saturday. We have 4 teams going out taking 20 beds. We would love for you to join us! Sign up at the link.

Our volunteers deliver fully furnished beds to children in need, complete with a mattress, bedding, and a whole lot of care. Each delivery provides more than a place to sleep — it brings comfort, dignity, and hope to a child and their family. Because no kid should sleep on the floor.

It is so sweet to see siblings helping set up each other’s beds!

We sometimes cut our wood the night before the bed build. We need helpers to look at the wooden board to check for spits and make sure it's not too warped, move wood, one board at a time, and 2 people cutting. If this sounds like something you are interested in helping with in the future, let us know. ❤️ Thank you to those volunteers from Friday.

So thankful for Community United Methodist - Columbia, MO for sponsoring our last bed build of the year and all the volunteers that came out yesterday! We had a the just serve club from Rock Bridge, a volunteer group from Mizzou, several Methodist parishioners and some community volunteers! It is always fun to see all ages and capabilities volunteering together. ❤️ It takes us all to help solve bedlessness in our town!! Since March 2024, 518 more kids off the floor, many more to go! Current waitlist is 140, applications roll in every few days.

Saturday is bed build day! We will be assembling at Community United Methodist Church parking lot to build! Sign up on our website!

Did you know we can do single twin beds or bunk beds depending on the needs of the family? Our SHP bed design can easily be stacked to accommodate! 😊

For single beds, we can also adjust setting it up to be lower to the ground for the littles, or higher up for older kids to enjoy extra storage space under the bed!

If you are living in Columbia and are needing a bed for your child ages 3-17, visit our local website and apply!
