Rest in peace, Franco Bippus. 💜

The Deaf community is mourning the loss of Franco Bippus, a gifted Academic Bowl champion, mentor, and bright light who left us on October 26, 2026.

Franco shone as a star at the Indiana School for the Deaf, leading his team to back-to-back national championships in 2017 and 2018, earning Most Outstanding Player honors both years, and finishing his high school career with an extraordinary record. He continued that legacy at Gallaudet University as a dedicated student assistant, GUO, question developer, and recent Academic Bowl Hall of Fame inductee. Those who worked with him remember his easy laugh, kindness, endless curiosity, and the way he made younger campers and peers feel seen and supported.

He lived with years of chronic migraines and the weight of pain that never fully lifted. Our hearts are with his family, the ISD and Gallaudet communities, and everyone who knew him.

If this loss is weighing on you, or if you are struggling, you do not have to face it alone. DeafLEAD is here with culturally affirming, ASL-accessible support 24/7 through the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline videophone and the Deaf Crisis Line. Free, confidential, and ready whenever you need to talk.

You are not alone.
Rest easy, Franco. 💜

Sometimes the people around you shape your choices more than you realize.

Your environment matters. The people in your life should help you grow—not pull you away from your goals or pressure you into choices that don't align with who you are.

✨ Your comeback story is still being written.

Healthy relationships don't ask you to give up your peace, your boundaries, or yourself. 💜

Real trust is built on respect, not pressure, control, or guilt. The people who care about you should support your choices, including your choice to stay true to yourself and say no to substances.

You deserve relationships where you feel safe, valued, and free to be exactly who you are.

Bullying Doesn't End When the Moment Ends. Sometimes, the words and actions of others stay with us longer than we realize.

But here's your reminder: How someone treats you does NOT define your worth. This National Bullying Prevention Month, let's talk about the impact bullying can have on our mental health and why kindness, connection, and support matter. 💚

Share this reel with someone who needs this reminder.
