It is with profound sadness and incredible grief that We Fortify shares the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Anna Carmichael, on August 23, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.

After graduating from Georgetown with an MBA in May of 2025, Anna joined We Fortify on August 1, 2025, in the position of Vice President of Strategy and Operations. Anna had extraordinary intelligence, strategic insight, humility, and an unwavering dedication to the people and communities We Fortify serves. Our team loved and respected Anna deeply, and her presence on our team changed us all for the better. Her energy was contagious and welcomed in every setting she walked into.

We are grieving her loss while also beginning to discuss how we will memorialize Anna through the work she completed and the plans we shared for the future. We absolutely believe her legacy will continue through the lives and communities she cared so deeply about.
