Accessibility opens the door to adventure!
We're resharing this reel featuring a visitor's experience exploring Garden of the Gods and North Cheyenne Cañon on a wheelchair-accessible Jeep tour with Adventures Out West. From breathtaking views to accessible outdoor experiences, it's a powerful reminder that everyone deserves the opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy all our community has to offer.

Today is the 36th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This landmark civil rights law protects the rights of the largest minority group in the United States and The IC remains committed to working with people with disabilities, their families, and the community to create independence so that all may thrive. Thank you to City of Colorado Springs for their proclamation and commitment to Americans with Disabilities Awareness Month.

Recently, Independent Living Skills Specialist, Edgar Morales, enjoyed some adaptive waterskiing and tubing with our friends, Therapeutic Recreation Program of Colorado Springs. This is a great program that empowers youth and adults to enjoy the recreational opportunities the Pikes Peak Region has to offer. Be sure to check out the Colorado Springs Therapeutic Recreation Program to register or learn more.
