B-COS We Care volunteers attended the Off the Street Breakfast, taking place under the Colorado Avenue bridge. It is organized by The PLACE, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping youth experiencing homelessness, providing shelter, outreach, housing, education, and healthcare services.
The breakfast serves as The PLACE’s largest annual fundraiser, aiming to raise significant funds to support programs for youth aged 15–24 who are experiencing homelessness. Attendees learn about the organization’s initiatives, hear personal stories from youth who have successfully exited homelessness, and contribute to ongoing projects such as supportive housing developments. The event also raises awareness about youth homelessness in El Paso County, where nearly half of the 185 young people experiencing homelessness each month survive outdoors.
One way our volunteers care and help our community.
