Coco and her two siblings found themselves without a home after their mom sadly passed away. But this sweet girl's story has a happy turn! After being welcomed into a wonderful foster home and getting a much-needed dental, Coco was finally ready for her next chapter.

This handsome boy is looking for his forever home! Hogan is house trained and kennel trained, making the transition into a new home easy and stress-free. He's great with female dogs, small dogs, and puppies, so he'd be a wonderful addition to a household with other gentle pups.

Hogan rides like a champ in the car and knows his leash manners — though fair warning, he's got a strong prey drive and will pull hard if a squirrel, rabbit, or free-roaming cat catches his eye! He's a total sweetheart with cats he lives with, though — he gets along great with the dog-savvy cat in his current foster home and doesn't bother her one bit.

Because of that prey drive, Hogan needs a home with a 6-foot fence, or he'll need to be kept leashed while in the yard. He's not one to be trusted off-leash near small critters, but with the right setup, he's an easy, loving companion.

Hi friends! My name is Sarah, and I've been searching for my forever home for 1.5 years. I'm hoping the right person sees this and falls in love with me! I'm a 2.5-ish year old German Shepherd-Great Pyrenees mix. I’m a beautiful, fully vetted girl weighing about 100 pounds, with a huge heart and much love to give. Im a wonderful dog in many ways: great with people of all ages, affectionate and loyal, great with other dogs, friendly with indoor cats (will chase outdoors), house-trained, excellent in the car, raised with love.

I'm the total package—but I do have one special requirement, which is why I am still looking for the right home: I’m a free spirit. I am a loving companion dog, kind and gentle, but also love to be outdoors to patroll and watch over my people and property. I alert to strange people and vehicles but not to predators or small animal intruders. Unfortunately, so far no fence has been able to contain me. Unless you have a 6 foot fence with coyote rollers, I’ll happily find ways to explore beyond the fence. My idea home is therefore with a person or dedicated family that understands my need for training (I’m very smart, curious and athletic!), has plenty of time for me, lives in a rural or mountain area where I’m safe, even if I get past the fence. I could be an ideal dog for a veteran or someone who would feel safer in the world with a strong protector who alerts but is not aggressive. I always return home after doing my rounds. I want to be part of a family but cannot be trusted off leash. I behave more like a German shepherd than a Pyrenees.

Welcome to FFTF, Cora: A Little Girl Gets a Second Chance!

We're thrilled to welcome Cora to From Forgotten to Forever Rescue! This sweet little poodle girl has already been through so much, but her story is turning around in the most beautiful way.

Cora's Rescue Story:
Cora found herself surrendered to a shelter—a dangerous situation for a small dog like her. Shelters are often overwhelming and stressful environments for tiny pups, and Cora needed rescue quickly. When the Humane Society recognized her situation, they reached out to FFTF for help. An amazing foster family immediately stepped up, and now Cora is safe, loved, and in a possible foster-to-adopt home!

About Cora:
• Sweet little poodle girl
• Only going to be 2 years old
• Deserving of a pain-free, happy life
• Currently in a loving foster home
• In a possible foster-to-adopt situation

Cora's Medical Journey:
Cora is dealing with hip and patellar issues that will need attention. While she may ideally benefit from surgical intervention, we'll work with specialists to determine the best path forward for her care—whether that's surgery or medical management.

Why This Matters:
Cora is only 2 years old—she has her whole life ahead of her! No dog should spend her young years in pain. With proper diagnosis and treatment, this sweet girl can live a full, active, comfortable life doing all the things little poodles love to do.

Please meet Penny (female) and Cooper (male), two sweet schnauzers who were recently surrendered to our rescue. Their worried little faces tell the story of dogs who have been through a lot of change and aren't quite sure what comes next.

Penny and Cooper need a patient, understanding foster home willing to work with them on socialization and help get them ready for their eventual adoption. They're a bit unsure and shy right now, but with time, consistency, and a lot of love, we know they can blossom just like our other rescued schnauzers have.

We're looking for a foster who:

We are beyond thrilled to announce that Haley, one of our long-term fosters, has officially found her forever home! 🎉💛

Haley came into rescue as just a puppy and has been patiently waiting for the right family to come along. That family has finally found her, and it was absolutely worth the wait!

Haley now has a loving dad who adores her, and a fur sibling to run, play, and grow up with. Look at that smile — she knows she's exactly where she belongs. 🐕💕

Please help us welcome Lucky, our newest schnauzer arrival! Lucky came from the same difficult situation as our other two schnauzers, Oreo and Chloe, who are already in our care.

Lucky hasn't had much socialization in his life, so we're taking things slow and working with him to help him settle in. He's a good-looking guy who just needs some stability and a consistent routine to thrive. Once he figures everything out, we know he's going to be a really good boy!

He's still learning what it means to be loved and cared for, and every bit of patience we give him is helping him come out of his shell. We'll keep you posted on his progress as he settles into foster care.

Hi everyone, my name is Ranger. I'm new to foster care and I could really use your support.

I'm a Great Pyrenees, somewhere between 3-5 years old. I was found in Eagle County at the end of June — emaciated, anemic, wounded, with broken teeth, and at the point of organ failure. The shelter staff cared for me with so much love and dedication, but after a month I wasn't improving anymore. This past Wednesday, I moved into a foster home. I'm not available for adoption just yet — right now, my focus is just getting better.

I have very little muscle left and I'm still extremely weak. I weigh 73 lbs, but I should weigh 100-120 lbs. I have to rest most of the day. But despite everything, I'm in good spirits! I love being in a home with people and other dogs, smelling the fresh air outside, and lying in the grass. I'm smiling again. 🐕💛

Today I went to the vet for bloodwork and X-rays. The good news: I'm no longer anemic, my hips look great, and there are no rocks or foreign objects in my GI tract. The not-so-good news: I either have a treatable fungal infection in my lungs, or lung cancer. My X-rays are being reviewed by a radiologist next week, and my vet will take it from there. In the meantime, I've started pain medication and got a B12 shot today.

I'm an absolute wreck, but I want to live. 🙏

Vetting and medication isn't free, and I sure could use your help covering the costs. Even a little bit makes a difference. Thank you so much for your support — it means the world to me.
