Lake City Bicycle Co-Op Your not for profit community bicycle shop. Your donations of bicycles, help underprivileged kids. A bike is a tool to create opportunity and empowerment.

Here at Lake City Bicycle Collective in Coeur d'Alene Idaho we believe that everyone regardless of social or economic status should have access to a bicycle. It creates a feeling of connectedness to the community. Our programs makes this attainable by refurbishing bicycles that might otherwise end up in the landfill. Instead of becoming garbage the bikes are returned to the community at low and of

ten times no cost. Bicycles are either sold at an affordable price, (based on a person's ability to pay), given to children, and given at no cost to other community help organizations we partner with. The bicycles that are sold provide funds to continue to provide free bicycles to children of low-income families, free bicycle education classes, and free training on bicycle maintenance. The bike was serviced and tuned up in record time at a very reasonable price.

Honoring and Remembering 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We are deeply grateful for their selflessness, which allows us the freedom to gather, build community, and share the road together.

In observance of Memorial Day, the co-op will be closed today so our volunteers can spend time with their families and loved ones.

We will see you back at the shop during our regular hours. Enjoy the day, stay safe out there, and look out for one another.

There is a specific kind of freedom found in a spring breeze and a steady chain.

Whether you are commuting to work or chasing the sunset along the water, we want to help you get there.

Our current inventory of refurbished bicycles is ready for the road. When you choose a used ride from us, you aren't just recycling a great machine; you are investing in the Coeur d’Alene community.

Ugh! Wholesale price on 11 speed chains has doubled. Chains are one of the wear out items we can’t always salvage from a donated bike that isn’t repairable (which we do as mush as we can).

We are doing our best to not pass these increases on for the bicycles we sell to provide the no cost bikes to kids. But, cash donations are down and grants are getting more and more competitive. At some point we will have no choice.
