It's hard to believe we are less than a week away from the 7th Annual Coeur54 Tournament, and we are charging to the finish line in style. With 5 days to go before we tee it up bright and early at Coeur d'Alene Public, 169 supporters have donated a whopping $59,000+ dollars to the campaign - WOW! We are SO CLOSE to breaking last year's fundraising record and we've had a lot of help from the community, friends, family and more along the way. This past week we were ecstatic to have Sargent Law Firm sign on as an Event Sponsor and their generous donation pushed us further towards our goal - thank you!!

The Coeur d'Alene Press published an article today covering the event and its impact and we are very grateful for the coverage and help in getting the word out.

Don't worry C54 golfers, despite the headline we are still teeing it up on Tuesday as planned. Get that driver straightened out, short game sharpened up and be ready to roll.

We want to extend a BIG THANK YOU (won't be the last time) to everyone who has donated and helped make this event happen - we couldn't do it without you, and we are excited to finally get on the course(s) and celebrate helping Safe Passage Violence Prevention Center and others in our community.

With a week until the tournament one Coeur54 golfer is struggling with his game...until he gets help from a special source...and our sponsors!

We had a lot of fun making this video and big thanks to Safe Passage for helping!

With some offline donations adding to our tally we crossed the $50,000 mark and are climbing towards our goal! Donate below to your favorite golfer:

Big update - we just crossed $40,000 raised for Safe Passage Violence Prevention Center and counting! As of this post we have 107 donations from friends, family, co-workers and people in the community who love to help out. Thank you thank you! Next stop: the $50,000 barrier...

This week we completed the draw and are excited to announce the teams for the annual Couer 54 Golf Tournament - we do work just a little bit of golf into this event after all is said and done. This year we'll be awarding prizes to the top Gross and Net players (a side note is that due to defending champion Brennan Stillinger missing the tournament to practice his diapering skills we'll have a new Gross champ for the first time!), as well as Team Net and Team Gross awards. The teams this year with combined handicaps indicated in parenthesis will be...drumroll please....

Dustin Ainsworth/ Tyler Sanders(9.2)
Stewart Kuespert/ Dylan Hill(8.9)
Drew Dittman / Austin Westphal(9.5)
Mark Krell/ Tim Skelton(11.4)
Conor Hammons/ Zach Davis(11.4)
MichaelHamilton/ Ryan Deschryver(13.1)
Scott Kramer/ John McKeeman(11.9)
Brian Longwell/ John Hutchins(11.1)

Now that the teams (and handicaps) are set everyone will finally stop sandbagging their indexes and get down to sharpening their game. It should be a fun day of golf for a great cause - find your favorite player and donate to their page to support and cheer them on!

It's now just 3 weeks until the 7th annual Coeur54 event tees off at Coeur d'Alene Public Golf Club at 6am sharp! As of today we have had 91 wonderful people contribute to our campaign and we have officially crossed the $30,000 mark and climbing! We wanted to highlight some of the ways that your donations can impact Safe Passage and their clients. Compare the following figures...

As of today, it costs $695 + $55 cart fee + $52.50 forecaddie fee to play Pebble Beach Golf course, an all in amount of $802.50. A round at Circling Raven here in Idaho costs between $199 and $249 depending on day of the week. The (in)famous Ponderosa Golf Course in Coeur d'Alene runs $20 for 9 holes, topping off at $35 if you pop for the replay to get in 18 holes.

For $1000, Safe Passage Violence Prevention Center is able to provide a full month of trauma-informed counseling sessions for multiple survivors.

For $500, a donation to Safe Passage provides 2 nights of emergency housing when their shelter reaches capacity.

$250 will give Safe Passage the ability to provide legal advocacy and court accompaniment for one survivor navigating the justice system.

Lastly, $100 allows Safe Passage to aid 4 survivors in obtaining their driver's licenses or birth certificates - both vital in starting over and rebuilding a future.

We highlighted these contrasting figures to show perspective. The same amounts that golfers can spend on a dream day on the course could help another person wake up from a nightmare.

Every dollar makes a difference - truly. Join us in aiding Safe Passage here: https://givebutter.com/EcOYdf

We're thankful today, not only because it's Friday (TGIF) but also because we've had 73(!!!) supporters donate to our fundraising campaign for Safe Passage Violence Prevention Center! We're currently at over $27,000 raised and so close to being at 50% of our goal. Now is when we kick everything in high gear - three weeks and change until the big day.

We're also thankful that Safe Passage has shared some survivor stories with us to help remind everybody WHY raising money for them is so important. These are people in our community who experienced the most difficult situations and were able to turn to Safe Passage and receive much needed help. A few of these stories are shared here as well as the annual report for Safe Passage highlighting the tremendous impact they have.

We're fundraising to support survivors, join us here: https://givebutter.com/EcOYdf

With less than 5 weeks to go we are picking up steam as we near $25,000 raised representing almost 40% of our $60,000+ goal! A quick glance at our GoodButter fundraising page shows that we have already received donations from 55 people as this awesome community continues to show up for us every year.

We are also blessed to have very generous sponsors once again in our corner. Chris Johnson from Custom Drywall and Brad Ward from Custom Insulation have returned in 2026 as Title Sponsors for our Coeur 54 event! Custom Drywall and Insulation is a 3rd generation, family owned local business with over 20 years experience serving the community. We are so grateful for their continued support, thank you!!

There's a saying among golfers, "There are no pictures on the scorecard." It means that if you're playing the Floating Green here in Coeur d'Alene and put it on and two putt - it's a 3. If you hit one in the water then re-tee and dunk it in the hole - it's a 3. Either way the card has no pictures, only numbers, and numbers don't lie. That reality is true both on and off the golf course. When we met with Safe Passage Violence Prevention Center and learned about their mission, the numbers they shared with us were equally telling and were a call to action for the golfers here at the 54 Foundation. For example:

1 in 5 women in the United States experienced completed or attempted sexual violence in their lifetime.

1 in 4 male victims of completed or attempted r**e first experienced it between the ages of 11 and 17.

The numbers show some good as well, namely how big an impact donations to organizations like Safe Passage can make:

$500/month
Counseling for 2 clients weekly or
1 week in shelter for 1 person/family or
2 trips/month for outreach in schools

$750/month
Hotel room for 5 nights

$1000/month
helps pay "rent" on capacity, such as electricity, software, or utilities for our family friendly safe shelter

The data shows that these incidents aren't happening in a bubble, but unfortunately occur around us. These statistics could likely be referencing someone you know. Like Safe Passage, we at the 54 Foundation believe that everyone deserves a safe place to go. Find your favorite golfer on our Fundraising Page and help us make our community safer.

With 6 weeks to go until the big event tees off we've officially hit 20% of our fundraising goal and are starting to build serious momentum on our way to raising $60,000+ for Safe Passage Violence Prevention Center and others!! Part of what makes the Coeur54 event so successful and impactful is the fact that we run the tournament with such little overhead costs. In fact, in 2025 almost 97% of every dollar raised went directly to charities in need!!

Not only do the three golf courses donate the rounds of golf, but we have some incredible sponsors who step up big time to set us up for success. One such sponsor who has answered the call time and again is Dan Duvall, owner of Lancaster Market in Hayden (https://www.lancastermarket.us). Dan's generosity as a Title Sponsor gives our fundraising a great push and helps to ensure we can cover our albeit minimal costs year in and year out. Not only that - but Lancaster Market makes (in this author's humble opinion) the best Sandwiches and has an awesome and affordable beer selection! It's a Saturday staple in our household after soccer games to swing by Lancaster and partake in all our favorites - sandwiches, beverages, maybe an ice cream or two... all is good!

Thank you Dan and Lancaster Market for once again being such a big part of this event!

We would love to have you join Dan in supporting this great event and helping us reach our goal! Find your favorite golfer on the link below and donate now:

Happy Master's Week! We hope everyone is managing to get at least *some* work done today while screens are filled with Masters streaming content. We know how easy it is to get distracted while juggling multiple windows and flipping between "Featured Groups", Amen Corner, and live coverage...

We were SO distracted in the lead-up to the Masters we forgot to wish Happy Birthday to a very special, very important good girl: Lucy! Lucy is the official service dog for Safe Passage Violence Prevention Center and has the vital role in providing emotional support to children during their forensic interviews and court hearings. In 2025 alone Lucy assisted in 316 trauma informed child forensic interviews and counseling sessions.

As Lucy turns 6 we thank her for everything she does to help our community. Wish her Happy Birthday with a donation to our campaign to aid Safe Passage as they ensure she can continue to provide calm and comfort to our local children in crisis.

We're back! The Coeur54 Tournament returns for our 7th year as we look to surpass the $250,000 mark for lifetime donations!

Aaaaand we're back! Since last year's event, the Coeur54 Team has been hard at work. We've been grooving our golf swing, prepping our bodies for another marathon day of golf, recruiting some new members, building a shiny new website https://www.coeur54.com and, most importantly, handing out checks to a myriad of local organizations. As always we have spent the last few winter months discussing and ultimately deciding on which group to focus our fundraising efforts on for the 2026 event. Today, with exactly 9 weeks to go until our June 2nd 6:00am tee time, we are proud and excited to announce we will be donating the lion's share of our raised funds to a remarkable and vital local organization, Safe Passage.

Safe Passage Violence Prevention Center was established in 1977 and is the largest agency serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and child abuse in North Idaho. They focus on providing children and adults with free and confidential services, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In 2025 they performed over 6,451 services - an increase in 37% from the year before.

Over the next 9 weeks we'll be shining more light on the great work from the team at Safe Passage and some of their specific projects and milestones. For now, you can check out their website https://www.safepassageid.org and learn more about the courageous work being performed by the local team here in Coeur d'Alene.

And, while you're at it, check out our new website, find the bio of your favorite Coeur54 golfer on our donation site https://givebutter.com/Coeur54 and be the first to donate to this year's event! Our goal is to surpass $250,000 in lifetime funds raised and surpass our impressive 2025 total of $61,000!
