Residents must also be actively participating in mental health treatment & have an income. Trinity Group Homes Summary for Social Services Resource Guide
Trinity Group Homes, a Program of St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho, provides safe and affordable housing for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. All of our residents are required to have a treatment team which includes licensed profe
ssionals. We network with each residentโs treatment team to ensure mental health stability. A background which includes felonies will be subject to review, but does not automatically disqualify admittance. We own and operate 7 different homes in 4 locations, 2 in Coeur dโ Alene and 2 in Post Falls. We use a โsemi-independentโ model which means residents are able to: maintain a daily schedule, bathe and dress themselves, communicate their basic needs, take their medication on their own and as prescribed, follow the recommendations of their treatment team, respond to directions, initiate their own routine, do simple shopping and cooking, wash their own laundry, handle their own finances, with some support (i.e. payee representative) travel to and from necessary destinations. "Semi-independent" also means that we have no live-in staff, our staff are in and out of the homes every weekday. Our staff works with the residents in life skills development. We teach independent living and interpersonal skills with the goal being that our residents live in harmony with others and ultimately achieve independence.
