Our volunteers are putting in the work! 🌊

Members of the Anderson County Rescue Squad recently completed swim test training as part of their continued preparation for our Swiftwater Rescue Team.

Swiftwater rescue takes strength, endurance, teamwork, and confidence in the water. Training like this helps make sure our volunteers are prepared to respond when someone needs help in dangerous water conditions.

We’re proud of our members for continuing to train, learn, and push themselves so they can better serve our community. 💪🌊

It is noteworthy that our volunteers not only respond to calls for assistance but also provide essential support to the service by maintaining preparedness, updating equipment, and performing daily tasks that ensure the organization's continued operation. We would be grateful for any donations you could provide to the Anderson County Rescue Squad, as we are a completely volunteer-based organization committed to serving our community, relying heavily on the community's support to sustain our efforts in delivering exceptional service.

Anderson County EMS, Andersonville Volunteer Fire Department, and Anderson County Emergency & Rescue Squad were honored to receive the 2026 Region 2 EMS Star of Life Award.

This award recognizes exceptional front-line EMS providers and agencies across Tennessee who deliver lifesaving care and make a lasting impact in their communities.

The recognition stems from a September 2025 rollover crash on I-75 involving multiple patients, including a critically injured child. Through rapid hemorrhage control, teamwork, and advanced prehospital care, responders were able to stabilize the patient and provide life-saving interventions during transport.

We are incredibly proud of all the providers involved in this call and honored to serve Anderson County every day.

We want to give a big thank you to Lowes Tow's for stepping up and helping us out.

When Dolly Parton Children's Hospital generously donated two vehicles to our squad, Lowes Tow's made sure we could get them where they needed to go—and helped us get them set up for training so our members can practice important extrication skills.

That kind of support doesn’t go unnoticed. We’re grateful for partners like you who always have our back. Thank you for helping us better serve Anderson County!
