For Adam, serving at FOCUS Cleveland - St. Herman House is something meant to be shared. 💙

For nearly 10 years, Adam has served on our Advisory Committee and has been part of the Annual Golf Classic throughout his time with us. He also regularly brings his colleagues, friends, and youth from Mayfield Church to St. Herman House to serve alongside our residents and team.

“Volunteering has so many benefits... When you serve together, you create a bond that rises above normal interactions, and helps in all aspects of relationship building."

We’re grateful for the many ways Adam helps others discover the joy of serving together, and for his continued commitment to FOCUS Cleveland and our neighbors in Cleveland. 🙌

Brandon, a member of Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Church - Српска православна црква "Свети Сава", has served on the FOCUS Cleveland Advisory Committee for the past few years and volunteers at lunch at FOCUS Cleveland – St. Herman House several times a week.

Through his consistent presence, he has built meaningful relationships with the neighbors we serve and the men who call St. Herman House home. We’re grateful for the care Brandon brings to our community and the relationships he has built along the way.

His commitment is a beautiful reminder that volunteering is about more than meeting a need—it’s also about getting to know one another and building community. ☦️💙

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share the work of FOCUS Cleveland – St. Herman House with the 100+Men Who Care Cleveland Metro community! ❤️

In July, our Center Director, Kirk, joined representatives from two other local nonprofits to share about the ministry and answer questions from about 100 men in attendance. FOCUS Cleveland was nominated by one of our volunteers, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to share what God is doing through FOCUS Cleveland - St. Herman House.

Although we weren’t selected as the quarterly nonprofit this time, several men were moved to make gifts to FOCUS Cleveland, and the evening opened the door to meaningful new connections.

One attendee even shared that he volunteered at St. Herman House with his family when he was a child. His fondest memories were of the kindness and hospitality of Fr. Gregory and Mother Mary, and he was grateful to hear that FOCUS Cleveland - St. Herman House is still here serving the community.

We’re thankful for every opportunity to share our story and continue making Christ’s love visible in Cleveland. ☦️💙

Last week, we were blessed to celebrate another Divine Liturgy together at the house. ☦️

Thank you to Fr. Nick Manuel from Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Lorain for serving, as well as Ted Cherpas for chanting and Reader Simon.

After Liturgy, Fr. Nick blessed an icon of St. Herman of Alaska that was donated by Legacy Icons, LLC and auctioned at our Golf Classic Auction. The winner shared that they wanted to have it blessed at St. Herman House before adding it to their home icon corner, saying it would make the icon “even more special.” What a beautiful way to connect the icon, our community, and the ministry of FOCUS Cleveland - St. Herman House!

Thank you to everyone who helps make these monthly Liturgies possible. We hope to see you next month! ❤

Help us keep our neighbors fed during our kitchen renovations! 🚧

Starting this Wednesday, August 26, the installation of our new kitchen hood will temporarily prevent us from preparing hot meals through September 4. We’ll need several hundred bagged meals to help provide food for our neighbors during this time.

Each meal should include a sandwich (meat & cheese or PBJ), chips, fruit, and a snack bar. Bottled water is also greatly appreciated! Please donate water separately, rather than placing it inside the meal bags.

Your generosity will help us continue serving our neighbors while our kitchen is under construction. Thank you for helping us continue to care for our neighbors in need! ☦️💙

Thank you for making our 13th Annual FOCUS Cleveland Golf Classic & Auction one to remember! ⛳💛

From beautiful weather and friendly competition to creative looks in our Crazy Shirt Contest, it was a wonderful day filled with fellowship and generosity.

We’re especially grateful to Elyria Country Club for their incredible hospitality and to everyone who sponsored, attended, played, bid, donated, and supported this year’s event.

This year, resident spotlight signs around the course also gave guests the opportunity to learn more about the men of St. Herman House and the lives your generosity helps us serve.

Together, we raised over $120,000! 🎉

Thank you for your continued support of the ministries at FOCUS Cleveland - St. Herman House, and for helping us provide meals, shelter, employment support, and love to our neighbors in need. ☦️

On Sunday, we joyfully celebrated the Feast of our patron saint, St. Herman of Alaska, at St. Theodosius Orthodox Christian Cathedral. ☦️

Fr. Jan blessed our icon of St. Herman, and our Center Director, Kirk, had the opportunity to share updates about FOCUS Cleveland - St. Herman House and thank the parish for their continued support of our ministry.

We are deeply grateful to the St. Theodosius community for standing alongside us and helping make our work possible. May St. Herman of Alaska continue to intercede for the residents, staff, volunteers, and ministries of FOCUS Cleveland.

St. Herman, pray to God for us! 💙

Last week, our Case Manager, Miss October, organized an outdoor cookout and evening of fellowship for our residents. We enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs, played co****le, sang karaoke, and spent a beautiful evening together! ☀️🌭

In preparation for the Feast of St. Herman of Alaska, our Program Manager, Kirk, also shared with our residents about the life and legacy of our patron saint.

We’re grateful for the simple moments of laughter, good food, and community that make FOCUS Cleveland - St. Herman House feel like home. 💙☦️
