🛠️🪚 NEEDED 🪚🛠️
As we are reorganizing our food storage spaces, we need to separate food and non-food items. We are looking for a good used shed that can temporarily store lawn/garden equipment and tools.

The shed would need to be 10’x12’ or maybe a little longer. It would also need to have a floor. If you have one you’re looking to get rid of, we’d be happy to take it off your hands.

We are grateful for the continued support of the Community West Foundation. 💙

As a recipient of a Second Quarter Grant focused on homelessness and housing, we were honored to attend this morning’s Grant Partner Open House. CWF President Marty Uhle thanked the organizations serving our region and shared that nearly $2 million in grants were distributed this quarter alone.

Our grant helps support staff salaries and operating expenses—essential resources that sustain our daily work of providing shelter, support, and pathways to independence for the men we serve.

As FOCUS NORTH AMERICA Executive Director Steven Christoforou shared:

"FOCUS Cleveland has become a local institution, so effective at making Christ's love visible that people from all backgrounds want to come and serve alongside us. We're grateful for the longstanding support of the Community West Foundation, a philanthropic pillar of the community, which helps FOCUS Cleveland offer service that restores dignity, transforms lives, and builds community."

We’re grateful for the beginning of a meaningful new ministry at FOCUS Cleveland. ☦️

This week, we held our first Paraklesis (Supplication) Service to St. Anastasia the Deliverer from Addictions, in partnership with the Saint Anastasia Fellowship, the addictions ministry of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. Thank you to Fr. Anastasis Phyrillas of St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church ~ North Royalton OH for serving and helping us take this important first step.

These gatherings are intended to be a place of prayer, healing, encouragement, and intercession for those experiencing addiction, as well as for their families and loved ones. We’re thankful for everyone who joined us and look forward to continuing this ministry every other Tuesday as we pray together as a community. ❤

The Saint Anastasia Fellowship (SAF) has partnered with FOCUS ​North America ​to launch a spiritual support initiative for individuals and families affected by substance use and behavioral addictions.

The collaboration introduces a recurring Paraklesis service—a supplicatory prayer canon—integrated with the Sacrament of Holy Unction. ​The service will be celebrated at the chapel of Saint Herman at FOCUS Cleveland. ​Held in honor of Saint Anastasia the Deliverer from Potions (Pharmakolytria), the service offers an anchor of spiritual restoration for the Northeast Ohio community.

Cleveland continues to face unprecedented challenges from the opioid crisis, leaving local families fracturing under the weight of dependency. Recognizing that sustainable recovery requires a holistic approach, this joint effort provides a sacred space for intercessory healing, reconciliation, and community solidarity.

“Healing is difficult; we can only start with prayer,” said Fr. Anastasios, the service’s officiating clergyman. “May Saint Anastasia intercede for all of us.”
