We're so grateful to have our friends at New City Cleveland as partners in our LIFT program. Their story is one of faith, reconciliation, and a genuine love for the Buckeye-Woodhill neighborhood right here in Cleveland! 🙌

We’ve had the joy of walking alongside New City Cleveland as they’ve faithfully invested in our neighborhood through programs that care for the whole person. From encouraging and equipping single and at-risk moms through MamaStrong, to serving senior neighbors with snow removal during Winter Workday, to creating spaces where kids can thrive through SummerStrong, they’ve consistently shown up with compassion, presence, and practical support.

We’re deeply thankful for partners like Justin, Leah, and the entire New City Cleveland team, who continue to faithfully show up for our city by seeking and sharing the love of God in unexpected ways, through unexpected people, and in unexpected places. Their presence, compassion, and commitment are helping bring hope and renewal in Cleveland.

Renovare Music presented its DocSong Concert, Journeys of Home, at the Hope Center! The concert featured original documentary songs created collaboratively with refugees and immigrants from the Hope Center community.

Stories from countries including Afghanistan, Syria, South Africa and beyond offered a moving glimpse into the challenges and triumphs of building a new life and making Cleveland home. Thank you to Renovare Music for listening, writing and shining a light on the diverse stories that shape the Cleveland community.

Check out the progress Lutheran West students made on our new West 35th Microfarm! 🌱

15 students came out ready to tackle the project - spreading mulch, cleaning up the garden, prepping growing spaces, and working on whatever was needed with lots of energy and positivity.

It's wonderful to see people from different backgrounds serving side by side, building real relationships and a shared sense of purpose that goes beyond a single project.

We are so grateful for these students that consistently show up and model what true servant leadership looks like. They are humble, curious, hardworking, and genuinely invested in the neighborhood. We are so grateful! 🙌

Thank you, Lutheran West! You're a blessing to us and this community!

If you're interested in volunteering, our next Hope Grows workday is on Saturday, June 6! We'd love for you to join us. Sign up at https://www.buildinghopeinthecity.org/events-list/hope-grows-cg8z7

What a beautiful evening dedicated to celebrating mothers! 💐

Our Community Development team hosted a special Mother's Day Dinner - a night of worship, prayer, and a meaningful message from the story of Jochebed, the mother of Moses. Attendees reflected on her incredible courage and the way she risked her own life to protect her son and shape his future.

The evening also included dinner, tea, and desserts, along with some special activities - attendees wrote letters to themselves, created their own flower bouquets, and had the chance to connect with someone new.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event so special. Mothers, you are seen, loved, and celebrated! 🎊

On August 6-7, Building Hope in the City will locally host the Global Leadership Network Summit at Independence Technology Center. The Summit is one of the world’s premier leadership events, reaching more than 350,000 people each year.

We’re hosting it because we believe deeply in leadership development and the impact it has across everything we do - shaping how we serve, how we grow, and how we show up in the work we’re called to. At BHITC, our mission moves through many different spaces and communities, and we’ve seen just how essential strong, healthy leaders are in carrying that work forward.

You may not think of yourself as a leader, but we believe everyone has influence, and that influence can make a BIG impact around you.

We’d love for you to join us and be equipped to lead right where you are!

Register now: ➡️ https://www.globalleadership.org/summit

Use Discount Code: S26THRIVENT to secure your registration at the special rates of $149 through June 19! Thank you to for making it possible for more leaders to attend and grow!
