Our Doors to Mi Barrio exhibit is making its way to Community Life Collaborative from June 17 to July 17.

Set in a public school facing closure, this play explores the challenges, frustrations, and resilience that many communities know all too well.

From practicing their songs and narration to laughing and having fun together, these students are bringing the story to life while learning more about the importance of Puerto Rican culture and storytellers like Raquel Ortiz.

It’s been exciting to see them connect with their heritage through theater, creativity, and song. ✨

⏰ Happening tonight! Calling all young explorers ages 7–10 to help us solve the mystery buried beneath the dirt.🦕

Participants will step into the role of dinosaur detectives, following clues and examining fossils to solve the mystery of which dinosaur is buried at the model dig site. Working together as a team, they’ll model the work of paleontologists and discover how scientists study evidence of life from long ago.

Get ready to dig, discover, and explore as a paleontologist with the whole family.

Free program and all are welcome!

Through the workshops led by Alice Lawhorn from we were reminded that the most meaningful things are often stitched from memories. Our placemats have become more than just fabric and thread, they have become a little piece of home. Now they’ll live on as conversation pieces and pieces to be passed down to future generations.
