“My piece, Dream, is a solo work that was born as part of my undergraduate studies in college. It explores the complex relationship, and also the divides, between reality and our hopes/dreams for reality. Up until 2026 it had only been performed for studio showings with select audiences, and I wanted the opportunity to perform it for broader communities. Revisiting the work I feel that it has evolved with me over the last three years. I approach this piece with more life experience, as bittersweet as life can be, it carries more heartbreak, and yet, stronger self-understanding. Earlier this year the work had its public debut at Spindive Dancefest in Atlanta, GA. I appreciate CDP Company in the support of its continued exploration.”
