I am in search of transportation of a skinny horse in the Burleson Rendon area to LDEP. If you can help please message me or call me at 817-229-4699. Thank you. The sooner we get this guy to my house the sooner he can start his rehab.

Owning horses is basically just a socially acceptable form of being mentally unstable.

You willingly commit your time, money, sleep, and sanity to 1,200-pound toddlers who panic at plastic bags, yet survive tornados. You go broke buying $200 blankets that they shred in a week. You spend more on their shoes than your own, rearrange your entire life around feeding times, and think it’s totally normal to cry over hay prices.

You wake up at 3 a.m. in a cold sweat because you “had a feeling” something was wrong, and you’re usually right. You’ve skipped weddings, birthdays, and social events because your horse had a weird p**p or looked at you funny that morning.

You budget like a CPA all month just to blow it all on fly spray and yet another saddle pad. You’re emotionally attached to a creature that would absolutely run you over for a flake of alfalfa.
We get bucked off and nothing short of a broken back will keep us from getting right back on. Vacations? Only if you enjoy a side of guilt and full-blown anxiety. Don’t even get me started on trying to explain vet bills to a non-horse person.

But here’s the truth: we like being this brand of crazy. Because in between the chaos and the bills and the broken fences are moments of pure magic… soft nickers at sunrise, the thunder of hooves in the pasture, and that deep, wordless bond only horse people understand.

So yes, maybe owning horses means being a little mentally unstable… but it’s the kind of crazy that keeps our hearts beating. And frankly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. 🐴💫
