TLERC'S work weekend was held this weekend to remove broken pallets, painted the men's bathroom, hang a very heavy picture, sort, file, wash and dry glasses. We had a light installed over the dishwasher (that we wash glasses in) that was very helpful to see the scratches on the glasses.

Tours are encouraged. We love to show you our beautiful facility. Call to make an appointment. 432-683-3611

Friday, October 2nd, 5pm, our 1st Annual Volunteer Appreciation BBQ was held!!! We ate, laughed, and listened to Dr McGuire and his side kick DJ play. Pulled pork on buns, brisket, chips, baked beans, pickles, and tea & lemonade, along with pumpkin, apple, sweet potato, and cherry pie was served. We sang along and socialized with Lions and Friends from Midland and across the State of Texas. A good time was had by all. Can't wait until next year! Anyone who collects glasses or volunteers at TLERC is invited.

Lion Sabrina from Midland Downtown Lions Club supervised 32 Boyscouts and Scout Masters on Sunday, Aug 16! They sorted, washed, filled boxes and read glasses for 2 hours! Thank you Troop 160 and Lion Sabrina!

We would appreciate any group to come once a week, month or year to come help us process glasses. No heavy lifting. You can sit during most jobs.

Aug 5th, in front of a hospital outside of the city we gave out 208 pair. Three people were so impressed with what we were doing that they gave me and my assistant plates of food, dessert, and drinks.
