The 28th Annual Otis Green & Bruce Fyfe Memorial Golf Tournament brought our community together today to raise funds supporting 350 Veterans who reside on HEP’s campus each year. Together community members, sponsors, and supporters enjoyed a day on the greens, all while helping provide essential housing and support services for Veterans experiencing homelessness in our community.

A special thank you to our incredible event sponsors, including Title Sponsor California Closets; Presenting Sponsors ProVise, Raymond James and Lokey Charities; Bar Sponsor Ho***rs: The Movie, Lunch Sponsor FrankCrum; and Dinner Sponsor Blume Mechanical. Today, we celebrated National Pulled Pork Day in the HEP Kitchen & Dining Hall! Our team prepared a delicious BBQ lunch complete with pulled pork sandwiches, fries, and homemade coleslaw. Moments like these may seem small, but they can bring a little extra joy to someone's day and make mealtime something to look forward to.

Each year, HEP serves more than 65,000 meals, made possible in part by the generous support of our community partners and individual donors. We’re grateful for everyone who helps ensure our residents have delicious, well-rounded meals throughout the year! 🍽️🧡

Did you know donor-advised funds (DAFs) are one of the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicles?

DAFs offer a flexible way to support the causes you care about while receiving an immediate tax deduction when you contribute. You can recommend grants through your established DAF to eligible nonprofits now or in the future, giving you greater control over the timing of your charitable giving. Your funds may even have the potential to grow tax-free over time, providing even more resources for future charitable giving.

Consult your financial advisor to learn more about donor-advised funds (DAFs) and how they can support your charitable giving goals.

To learn how recommending a grant from your DAF can make a meaningful difference in the lives of the men, women, children, and Veterans served by HEP, please contact Rebecca Adams, HEP Director of Development & Communications, at [email protected].

Permanent housing within the community is the ultimate goal for HEP residents. Whether they’re part of our emergency, transitional, or permanent supportive housing programs, case managers help them establish short- and long-term goals to reach this goal. By creating a safe, supportive environment and connecting residents with resources, HEP helps them overcome barriers and break the cycle of homelessness.

Homeless Empowerment Program
Clearwater, FL

At the Homeless Empowerment Program (HEP) our purpose is to break the cycle of homelessness. Since 1986, our mission has been to provide homeless and low-income individuals and families, including veterans, with housing, food, clothing and support services necessary to obtain self-sufficiency and improved quality of life. We offer housing and programs specifically designed for single men and women, families with children and U.S. veterans.
