Effective immediately, our Free Hot Meals Program has been cancelled.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported, participated in, and helped make this program possible. It has been a privilege to serve our community and provide meals to those who joined us each month.

🌿 FREE Tai Chi for Adults 55+ 🌿

Looking for a fun, gentle way to stay active, improve your balance, and connect with others? Join us for our FREE Tai Chi Class at the Willa Carson Health & Wellness Center!

🗓 When: 2nd Thursday of each month
🕚 Time: 11:00 a.m.
📍 Where: 1108 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Clearwater, FL 33755
🥋 Who: Walter Evans- School of Survival

✨ No experience is necessary—everyone is welcome!

Tai Chi is a low-impact exercise that can help improve balance, increase flexibility, build strength, reduce stress, and support overall wellness.

🥪 A light lunch will be provided following the class.

This program is made possible through funding from the Pinellas Community Foundation Senior Citizens Services Grant.

Our May Lunch & Learn featured “Why Falls Matter,” presented by Willa Carson Health and Wellness Center’s Nurse Practitioner, Christine Benson, FNP-C.

Christine shared practical tips on preventing falls by encouraging participants to assess their homes for potential hazards and discussed tools, equipment, and simple safety modifications that can help reduce the risk of falls and support independent living.

🧘🏾‍♀️ Join Us for FREE Tai Chi! 🧘🏾‍♂️

We’re excited to welcome Shihan Walter Evans of the School of Survival as the facilitator for our FREE Tai Chi Class for adults ages 55+!

Beginning Thursday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m., this low-impact class combines gentle, flowing movements with deep breathing to help improve balance, flexibility, strength, coordination, and overall well-being. No experience is necessary—everyone is welcome!

📅 When: 2nd Thursday of each month at 11:00 a.m. (First class begins July 9!)

This month we had the joy of celebrating three very special birthdays with our clinic family!

Happy Birthday to Ms. Norma, our dedicated RN Volunteer, whose compassion and commitment make such a difference in the lives of our patients every day.

We also celebrated Kim Nunn-Crawford, our Executive Director, for her leadership, vision, and unwavering support of our mission.

And a special birthday shoutout to Vanessa Pastrana, our Clinic Manager, for all she does to keep the clinic running smoothly and caring for both patients and volunteers alike.
